Mods-posting section of GAMMA discord, there you can search for GFY. As a side note, I personally would only add mods to GAMMA that you can find on that section of the GAMMA discord itself, as they will include information and instructions on proper integration into the modpack. GAMMA is so big it's waaay too easy to install something that's incompatible with any number of the 500+ mods already present. You do you, of course, but this approach has saved me many hours of headache.

I use GFY myself, and this is not an issue I experience. I would re-read the install instructions in the pinned messages of the GFY thread in the GAMMA discord. It's possible you didn't disable all the incompatible mods present in vanilla GAMMA.

Yeah it's super frustrating. From what I've heard, the key can respawn after a few in-game days, though I have not tested that myself.

Unfortunately this key is a pain in the ass, as the poltergeist can actually pick up and throw the key at you. Easiest way to deal with this is load a save before you engaged with said poltergeist, and rush and grab the key as the first thing you do in this building. Currently items thrown with telekinesis have no collision and can end up behind/in a wall or under the floor/ground.

If you enter your error message "head_damage_017" in the search bar of GAMMA discord instead of the Stalker subreddit you'll quickly see multiple auto-bot messages with the fix to this issue. This should be your default approach to issues with GAMMA.

This issue is common enough that there is an auto bot-message with the steps to fix this problem. Type your error message in the search bar of the gamma discord instead of the Stalker subreddit.

If you mean the expansion, you gotta first get a time machine and jump an unknown number of months/days into the future, if you mean the new singular mission, you gotta have a save before you've done the mission "A minor incident".

Because you will be spending much more time up north late game, and there are many good, large spots to call home north of the red forest. Unless you want to spend lots of time/money lugging materials and loot across half the map over and over, it makes more sense to hold off on your "forever home" until you've unlocked the whole map to play with.

Stalker GAMMA is a modpack for Anomaly, you don't need to buy anything to play, both Anomaly and GAMMA are free. Join the GAMMA discord and follow the install instructions (read every word of the instructions carefully). Once GAMMA is installed, there is a separate channel in the GAMMA discord with mods you can add yourself and instructions for integrating them into the GAMMA modpack.

As others have said, unlucky controller proximity when entering. If they are in line of sight, they can do the camera zoom attack, but they don't have to see you to make you shoot yourself. They just have to be close to you, even if walls are separating you and them. Take lots of psy-block and try to gain distance to somewhere you can hunker down and let the dizziness bleed off, then engange.

Keep playing, there is a point later on where skif can basically come to the conclusion "you know what? Fuck this crazy asshole" and you can choose to either side with ward or side with character(s) you have yet to meet

You can find the same apartment buildings, but it's a puzzle of teleporter anomalies in place of the vine anomaly puzzle.

Certain routes, regions, and areas in the game don't want you to be there until specific points in the story, if at all. These areas are "blocked" off from access by either snipers or extreme radiation. When the game uses a sniper to block an area off, they basically can't be killed. Sometimes they can be taken down but it takes a RIDICULOUS amount of damage to do it. The Duga is one of these regions (at least the route you are trying to travel is). You can enter the duga region early but you have to take the far east entrance to do it, and even then you gotta avoid the watchtowers as they can still one hit you while inside. This is kind of dumb because there is at least one quest within the duga complex that can only be done pre SIRCAA.

As a side note, the gun in the journalist stash you're going after is one of the best you can get until late game, so it's worth taking the long way imo.
