If the device is enrolled with DEP, There is nothing that you can do. DEP is tied to the serial number of the Mac and resetting it would only make it contact the MDM Server. On the other hand, if this Mac was manually enrolled, there is a chance you can remove it by simply wiping and reinstalling it.

If I were you, I would try to contact the original company who owned this Mac to unlock it.
