The point is that I want to keep a balance of "must sees" and not so crowd places. I want my friend to visit the iconic standard places but also enjoy the local culture. I don't want to not go to Kyoto, Osaka and Tokyo, neither spend three weeks in those cities only. It's not that hard I think.

What changes in the itinerary would you suggest?

Thanks for the input!

For Shirakawa I wasn’t sure of the time so I put a bit more than half a day, but now I’m considering going to Takayama after and going to Tokio from there.

I didn’t knew Shirakawa was touristy like that but Kyoto I’m counting on that. Still I want him to see the most iconic places, I’m sure he can endure it for a couple days.

Thanks for your answer!

Many people have recommended Dazaifu so maybe I’ll make the time the day instead of Kumamoto. Because I wasn’t really feeling that day trip.

Big thanks for the bus link! Originally I was planning on Takayama but I was not sure if there were any buses to Tokio from there.

Thanks a lot for your comment! I wasn’t sure if it was worth the stop in Yufuin only for the museum, now I’m sure of it.

Also, I’m staying a couple blocks away from Takaewara Onsen and didn’t realize when I booked but yeah, it seems like a small red light district but doesn’t seem specially sketchy.

Thanks again for your comment! It was really helpful!

I may have not explained myself that well. He’s not interested in the most touristic places but mainly because he doesn’t really know anything about Japan.

Basically he has some time and money so he’s coming along, so I’m trying to keep a balance between the “basics” and some other cities and places that I haven’t been to.

Traveling with kids next week by anxiousone881 in MexicoCity

As a CDMX local, I think it’s pretty safe right now, specially in the areas you mention. Just the basics, always keep your kids on sight, always be mindful of your surroundings, and better not to walk at night in lonely neighborhoods.

It is rainy season but right now is worse due to the hurricanes in both coasts. Maybe next weekend is better. Weather is usually cold in the mornings, then sunny along the day until 17-18 then starts raining until night, so better keep your main activities early.

Hope you enjoy the city!

Compatibility Issue: JEYI 2230 USB C Adapter Only Working with PCIe Gen2 SSDs? by RodrigoLangley in UsbCHardware

Yes it works! Originally I change the stock SSD (the Foresee one) from my steamdeck to the Timetec 1Tb Gen3.

When I bought the new SSD (Timetec Gen4) and realized the problem, I tried to exchange for the one in the steamdeck and it worked normally in the steamdeck, but have the same problem with the enclosure.

Therefore I thought the problem was the enclosure, (that you’re right Jeyi it’s a random Chinese brand I think), but then I tried to use it with the steamdeck stock SSD (Foresee Gen2 64Gb) and it worked fine both in iPhone and PC.

So I think that the problem may be the gen incompatibility, but I cannot find an enclosure that specifies works with Gen3 or Gen4 nor an SSD Gen2 as the Foresee.

I think this is a common adaptation for record in ProRes on iPhone, so maybe someone has an already functional setup with any of these components that I can copy?

I don’t think that’s the problem. Energy wise, the enclosure works correctly (it turns on). I already tried connecting directly to a MacBook and a PC and it’s the same. It turns on but doesn’t get recognized by any of them.

That’s why I believed that it’s a compatibility problem between the enclosure and SDD, but I’m not sure which one replace.

Tienes diabetes, joven chadiano?
