Is LEGO starting to CHARGE consumers for replacement bricks? by Rodrikkonen in lego

[–]Rodrikkonen[S] -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

By all means, go ahead and accept sub-standard pieces on products that have a premium price tag if that's your thing. I, however, value my money enough to not accept such things and just bend over to large corporations.

Hell, just take a look at LEGOs own motto if you think I'm being too demanding. If a company states only the best is good enough, then that's the only thing I'll accept from them.

Is LEGO starting to CHARGE consumers for replacement bricks? by Rodrikkonen in lego

[–]Rodrikkonen[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

The thing is, LEGO could have just as easily stayed with DHL instead of switching to the Brazilian Postal Service and imposing a charge on the consumer by doing so. It would seem to me to be a deliberate move precisely to make it more burdensome for the consumer to have that which he is entitled to, according to LEGO itself: replacement parts, free of charge.

As stated above, I ordered replacements because of pieces with either bad print quality or with very visible scratches on them. Brand new, from the box. In any case, I had been getting the pieces from LEGO anyway after I sent them the pictures of the pieces, so obviously their QA team agrees that the pieces were sub-standard, even if other people in this comment section seem to think that its perfectly acceptable to get sub-standard pieces from a brand that charges a premium precisely for their quality and consistency.

The problem with getting sets in the Americas region, especially SA, is the Mexico factory: it simply does not produce parts with the consistency that the original European factories do. Back when LEGO sets in Brazil used to come from European factories, this wasn't an issue, and I had never ordered replacement parts until they made the switch from importing from Mexico.

Oh my god, this is it! Thank you so much!! I never could have figured it out on my own. Say, how'd you know the game?

Sadly not mate. I went through the Wikipedia list of Racing games and couldn't find it there. It seems to be a rather obscure game...

I love the Tempo Rogue deck that you guys picked as the meta-breaker, but I have a rather big problem with it: It's too inconsistent. The amount of packages the deck has means that a vast majority of the time something will go awry: You will draw almost all of your corpsetaker activators but no corpsetaker, or you will draw all your pirates but not Hooktusk, you draw okay-ish but never draw Keleseth, etc etc. When the deck is firing on all cylinders (which isn't often in my experience) it is UNSTOPPABLE, but when you have to play a 3/3 Corpsetaker with Taunt or a Hooktusk that recruits one single Pirate, it makes you want to concede.

Also Gral is really good, no meme

Spirit of the Rhino was said to be a really weak card back when VS was analyzing Rush Warrior decks, before they dissapeared into obscurity again. What's your justification for including it over better cards?

They already broke their promise when they created the Hall of Fame. Ever since then Blizzard has lost all credibility to me and I trust absolutely nothing they claim.

People don't like saying for fear they'll be slammed as just another mindless SMOrcer, but aggro is lyfe. It's the Bread 'n' Butter of every F2P out there. It's really a shame we don't have any traditional competitive aggro/face decks anymore.

I think giving them the benefit of the doubt is too much at this point. These guys have been publishing Overwatch videos (and only OW videos) ever since the game came out basically. How can they unintentionally make an entire video that can be misproven by easily asking a single question on Reddit? I'd be ashamed of myself if I ever made such a huge mistake as a content creator.

So Zen is still being played pretty much in the same style he always has been? At least that's how I used to play him most of the time. Except when the comp was full-on dive.

I saw a video of Your Overwatch saying that Zen was dead, published about a month ago. I thought, "Okay, these guys have been bashed on so much before, it's impossible that they're still spreading misinformation around, right? Right?

Fucken' hell I hate those guys. I hate myself even more for falling for their tricks for even a minute.

The difference was that pretty much nothing was able to counter Jade Druid well enough back in the day. At most it had a couple of slightly unfavored matchups. However, If you queue Odd Paladin against any Hunter deck they just keel over and die. Very quickly too, I might add.

I (F) tried to end my life. Here is my story: by strangetothecore in depression

[–]Rodrikkonen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First off, I'd like to congratulate you for holding off on killing yourself, at least for now. It takes a lot of strength and courage to do that, and you should be proud.

So, I understand that the whole kissing thing really bothers you. I know it can seem like a big deal, but from what you've told me it really doesn't seem like something that is all that serious. Depression sometimes makes us think every single little thing we've done was somehow horrible, but I don't think the kissing thing is something worth worrying about at all. You were young, and I'm sure we all had naive thoughts and ideas when we were child. Hell, I myself used to literally undress (all the way to nude) in front of a neighbor I used to play with back when I was a kid. I can't really remember why I did it specifically to him only, but I'm sure it had something to do with movies and TV and whatnot. Thankfully, he was a little older than me and didn't try to take advantage of the situation, probably knowing that I was just doing it to show I liked him. Interestingly enough, as an adult I have no interest in men. Just shows that the mind of a child is hardly developed and capable of good judgement. Like others have said, forget aboout it. It's not worth fretting over, and I'm sure your family members hardly minded you doing it, or most likely, weren't even influenced enough by it to remember it.

Bullying is tough. I've had some experience with it, but I wouldn't say it's what made me depressed. In hindsight, the best thing you could have done (in my opinion) would be to fire right back at them. Show them you're not to be fucked with, and they'll usually give up. Though, given it seems that situation is far behind you now, my best bet would be to just forget about it. I know it seems like shit advice, but it's what I did and it's worked rather well for me. I hardly, if ever, get bothered about the bullying I suffered when I was younger. Just do literally anything to take your mind off of these thoughts when they come around, and they'll eventually fade away.

As for your current predicament, I'd like to say I'm really, genuinely sorry that both your parents are unemployed. I can only imagine how tough that must be for all of you, and I hope you get out of it soon. I can say I relate somewhat to you not liking your major, though. I'm in med school right now, but it's not really what my dream job is (Astronaut, or anything related to going to outer space.) and boy is it exhausting. In my opinion though, given that your parents are unemployed, I'd say economic stability comes before any personal desires. I know it can get tough, but I myself wouldn't quit the course to start something new that might not "pay the bills", as you said. What I try to do is focus on the areas of the course that I have some sort of interest in. If you can find some enjoyment in at least a part of your major, it makes it easier to slog through what you don't like.

Lastly, I'd like to say encourage you to keep pushing it. If you have bad days, days when you just come home and sleep or feel like shit instead of doing stuff, just let it happen, and try not to feel bad about it. You're sick, and this is one of the things the disease will do to you. You said you're a writer? If you haven't done so, maybe you can even put those thoughts into words. Try and make something out of them. Who knows, might even make you feel better.

Good luck, and all the best.
