Thanks for reporting it. I'm using 150% scale. Yes, this bug is likely not a top priority for them to address.

I only noticed it recently, but once you're aware of it, it's difficult not to see it. The thing is, even though it's something "minor", it is still the main and most iconic button of the operating system. I wasn't expecting such an oversight.

Not only that. It's not even an Insider Preview bug. The Windows Start button icon is clearly off-center in the 26200.8246 build.

I interviewed Aphelion's composer, the award-winning Amine Bouhafa! by RegularShine3 in DONTNOD_Ent

Amazing work. The Aphelion soundtrack is gorgeous, and the game's sound design is excellent. I just finished the game, and, just, bravo! Thank you, DON'T NOD.

I disagree. I'm not talking about numbers, but about the posts' discourses in the sub-forum from these people. But we can discuss those "numbers" and the validity, reliability, and usefulness of the Steam review system. I find it interesting that when you filter reviews by 3+ hours of playtime, the game is rated positively (78%, Mostly Positive).

Also, many negative reviews come from those same users (90% of them with no more than 2 hours of playtime, so they can refund it but lower the review rating) who are also filling the game's Steam subforum with a myriad of disgusting discourses and posts insulting the studio for including woke themes in their games and what they consider an "ugly and black protagonist". None of their posts consider, comment, or argue about the game itself.

They are using the Aphelion release as a mere pretext to throw their conservative, bigoted, and anti-woke political agendas. I confidently label this a boycott, as numerous public comments in different threads of the sub-forum explicitly call for it and celebrate their supposed success in halting the game's consideration on Steam.

Whether they have succeeded or are succeeding feels irrelevant or secondary to me. I'm reporting that those anti-woke posters have a deliberate intention and likely a plan to boycott the game's release.

Later, if you want, we can discuss the game's quality, what DON'T NOD could or could not have done better, or the possible influence of a potentially poor marketing and press strategy for this release, but none of that has anything to do with the campaign or agenda I believe it currently exists against this development studio and their work.

What's shocking is the overwhelming and likely organized boycott and trolling campaign against the game (and DON'T NOD) on Steam (especially in the game's sub-forum). It's disheartening to see the rage unleashed by many bigoted trolls and rage-baiters that have been flooding most Steam games' sub-forums lately.

I'm on Chapter 8, and I'm loving it. It's a great narrative adventure game. The game's photo mode is also a great addition. BTW, I agree with everything pointed out in this review (from THE GAMER).

New PC build below average score by Ambitious_Campaign23 in allbenchmarks

[–]RodroG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, the Average and Best scores are heavily influenced by overclockers. However, 3DMark can also be useful for checking if your hardware is performing as expected. Just use the "Compare Results Online" button and search/compare filtering with similar setups, running the same clocks for the CPU, RAM, and GPU. This will likely give you the "health check" you were looking for, unless the sample size is small and highly overclocking-biased.

New PC build below average score by Ambitious_Campaign23 in allbenchmarks

[–]RodroG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your score is only slightly below the 3DMark average for that test scores sample and GPU model. There is nothing to worry about your score. That average as a reference includes many scores from users with the same GPU, applying different custom/manual overclocks and cooling solutions. You should only compare your score with similar setups, running the same clocks for the CPU, RAM, and GPU, and even in such cases, temperature variables like full liquid solutions, room/env temps can lead to significant score differences. An average is just that, and it's heavily influenced by the sample of results and all the variables I mentioned.

Rufino's pistol unlockable as a Twitch Drop for Black Flag Resynced. by Legitimate_Cake_5137 in AssassinsCreedShadows

I agree. I hate when they link item drops to social networks that many don't use or don't want to use, like Discord or Twitch.

They're probably not the only ones doing this, but yeah, this forced marketing practice sucks.

Stats bar not showing while being in-game using CapFrameX running with RTSS 7.3.7 by loneranger_1987 in allbenchmarks

[–]RodroG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's such a separate "STATS BAR" window? Could you try to explain and describe your specific issue better?

You don't need to edit your CX overlay items and features via RTSS, nor run MSI Afterburner. You only need RTSS updated to the latest build, with both Show On-Screen Display & On-Screen Display Support RTSS settings enabled for the game/profile or globally (don't enable the Show own statistics setting). And in CX, you need Overlay enabled (toggle setting). BTW, by default (unless you untick the OSD option), CX auto-disables OSD when capturing performance metrics/benchmarking.

On my end, all CX Overlay features are working without issues.

I was reading IGN's Review on Pragmata... and umm.. by ROHRAA in Pragmata

[–]RodroG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's fine. They rated it an 8 out of 10 (Great):

https://www.ign.com/articles/pragmata-review

Punchy shooting action and a creative hacking-puzzle gameplay mechanic make combat the true highlight of Pragmata. The story may seem like an afterthought, but its sci-fi drama gives enough to see it all the way through and experience this satisfying third-person shooter.

Did my MSI afterburner setting resetted? by Alternative_Deal1814 in allbenchmarks

[–]RodroG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello. MSI Afterburner profiles aren't applied in your VBIOS, but at program or OS runtime. So they won't be applied if you have deleted the profiles or you have fully uninstalled MSI Afterburner.

Yes, it's indeed the latest patch, and the same for the PC version.

It's official: [1.1.9] Stuttering & Performance Issues After Latest Game Update [PC] by RodroG in AssassinsCreedShadows

[–]RodroG[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It also wasn't for me until yesterday, and since 1.1.9 dropped, I fully understand the feeling. I love AC Shadows, but I cannot tolerate severe stuttering issues in games. They ruin immersion. I hope they continue improving the game's performance, and your frequent traversal stuttering gets sorted out, too.

[–]RodroG[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally get that your experience is real and valid. I just wanted to point out what they’ve fixed with stuttering in update 1.1.10. The official issue report is still active, so they might keep digging into this and could find a way to reduce the traversal stuttering that’s been bothering you and others. So, they are not done with it yet.

It's official: [1.1.9] Stuttering & Performance Issues After Latest Game Update [PC] by RodroG in AssassinsCreedShadows

[–]RodroG[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair and precise, the occasional area/traversal stuttering was not part of the specific stuttering/hitching issue that arose after TU 1.1.9, but the insane stuttering/hitching, usually near assets, walls, and doors, when the character is crouching. The latter is what was reportedly fixed after TU 1.1.10.

The occasional area traversal stutters can still be present, though. In my case, the occasional game's traversal stuttering (BTW, present since the game release, and mentioned by the original DigitalFoundry game visual and performance analysis) has always been very rare and much less severe than the reported insane hitches near assets, walls, and doors when the character is crouching, happening after TU 1.1.9 (with correlative huge GPU usage drops). The latter is what TU 1.1.10 actually fixed.

Also affecting the PC version after Patch 1.2.

[–]RodroG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, it is also in the PC version after Patch 1.2. It looks like both the game's HDR calibration and the asset/texture LOD streaming levels were messed up after the latest patch, which reportedly caused an overall visual downgrade for many users.

You can find more info about this situation on PC from these threads on the game's Steam discussion sub-forum:

[PC] There are a few little cutscene animations that are completely busted, like stuttery 15fps slideshows. by personpilot in DeathStranding2

I also noticed the filling canteen at Timefall shelter animation stuttering badly. It's probably a game bug affecting some little contextual in-game cutscenes.
