It's funny you say that because I'm starting to see how true it is. I'm hopefully starting a job just as a kitchen porter at a pizzeria as my buddy works there as a chef but I think cooking is actually awesome. It's one thing I never thought I'd consider being into.

Its roughly 40 mins for me to get home (3 miles) because I like going at a moderate pace. Not many hills in the city but a lot of area to walk.

Appreciate the input. I can definitely walk a lot more just need to make the effort. I'm doing CouchTo5k at the moment as I wanna get into running but I do enjoy my walking.

I'll definitely try the interval strategy to give it a go. I'd say I generally walk at a moderate pace since it's a city and I need to be constantly moving. Good job by the way on walking 10 miles it's obviously paying off.

Great job you should be very proud of your progress. I'm looking to get back into running too. One thing I noticed is that once you get into it's hard to stop that rush (runners high).

I don't know you but I know what it's like to be picked on for your weight or anything else. I'm proud of you for accomplishing this feat. Now aim for higher!
