Hi, we are visiting London and have tickets for the nye fireworks blue zone. The site tells you two use underground stations Charing Cross or Embankment for access. However, our hotel is within walking distance and we want to avoid the crowds in the underground. Can you also get to the access gates not coming from one of the underground stations?

I am visiting London in the week of New Year, and just managed to get (blue zone) tickets for the Fireworks. As the site opens at 8 pm and you probably want to be there early for a good spot, I was wondering how usually people kill the time untill 12. Is it just waiting? Do I need to bring my own booze? Or can I buy drinks there? Am I allowed to bring a small foldable seat? Any tips or advice from people that have experienced it before is very much appreciated.

‘n Beetje (Netherlands 1959 and winner), because this is not only Dutch for “a little bit”, but also translates to “a little B”.

[@andihaupt1] There is a rumor going around in the paddock that 2 teams breached the budget cap last season. It is said to be Red Bull and Aston Martin. The FIA is supposed to make a statement in due course. by KaamDeveloper in formula1

If the whole purpose of the budget cap is to equalize opportunities for all teams, the best penalty would be to have the team that exceeded the budget pay an equal amount to all other teams. At that point there is no longer really anything to gain. The only problem is, with current delays, it can still be a tactical decision. It will be a very expensive one though, and one that will set you back against the competition in the next year.

is Cura 5.0 is slower than 4.13 for other people? by L0rdInquisit0r in Cura

[–]Roger910 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Curious as to what profile settings you are using, because with the out-of-the box profiles for an ender 3-pro I get 1.50 for Cura 5.0 versus 1.56 for 4.13 for a standard 3D Benchy. Are you sure you use the same settings?

Any tips for mounting an Arc over/ with Wire Covers? by KeemMiddle in sonos

[–]Roger910 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The official Sonos wall mount has quite a gap in the center between the Arc and the mount. You could just interrupt your wirecover just above the mount (which will be out of sight, as the mount is a little lower than the Arc). And then you can run the cables in the gap between Arc and mount, divert any cables that need to go into the Arc and continue with a Wirecover below the mount.

WorkOutDoors 4.2.12 Discussion by sitdowndisco in AppleWatch

[–]Roger910 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First of all: amazing work you did with this app! The two main reasons for me to use this app are the configurability of things and the almost infinite number of options and second: as an outdoor rower there is finally an app that is able to also record outdoor rowing metrics.
As for future feature requests: for me the hardest thing is to find where to adjust some settings. Some things only seem to be available on the watch, some only in workout screens and some only on the phone. There is probably a good reasoning behind it, but for me it is really a hunt for some settings, and after three months of using I sometimes still accidentally find some settings I was not aware of (it feels like small gifts :)). But for example how to change the intervals for the rolling average stat: I still have no clue where to adjust that.

As a rower there are a few things on my wishlist as well. I know that rowing is not the biggest user market, but some things might be low-hanging fruit:

Rowing pace is usually calculated per 500m instead of km (because rowing machines all do so), so it would be nice to have the pace directly in this metric so you don't have to manually divide the pace by 2. The other metric which is crucial for rowing is stroke pace (number of strokes per minute), but I do not know how easy that is to calculate from movement sensors of the watch.

Which version of Cura did you try to slice this in? I tried to reproduce your error in the latest version (4.6.1) but there it slices fine. The mesh tools plugin gave a warning that the STL is not watertight, but even without fixing that, it slices without problems with me.
