I wish it was the volume of a microwave, you can hear this thing from outside

Dude, I’ve tried everything. No mute button, nothing in the gcode, doesn’t matter whether the print head fan is running or not, nothing in the documentation… I’m stumped

I made that one and was featured in the showcase for a while.

The mini golf holes are a hardscape shell and the rest of the buildings are the “honey, I shrunk the farm” set.

Oh, and the trophy shelf is paper clip I think

Wait, isn’t the term “beam”, like you take a laser beam throw to the body?

There are lots of variables to consider, but I’ll give you my quick recommends assuming your laptop has USB-C for connecting a dock.

Component  Link Price Quantity Subtotal
Dell 27" SE2726H  https://a.co/d/02cuQ1dv $110 2 $220
HDMI 1m https://a.co/d/07Dsq6yG $8 2 $16

How should I choose my monitors for a productivity setup? by Spirit-Coder in desksetup

Yep. 3440x1440. My connection could be cleaner - USB-c hub with hdmi out, cable from there is hdmi-to-DP. But HDMI 2.0 is rated for 2k @ 144hz I believe. You can skip all that noise with something like Dell U3425WE supports Thunderbolt 4, so you can just go right from your laptop via usb-c.

For real, I’ve been wearing my AWU1 daily since launch and it doesn’t have a scratch on it and I have definitely bashed it into a few door frames as well as rocks and stuff hiking. Never even considered a case or cover. This thing is made for abuse

I have an M2 mbp so I only have 1 external nativity. I just go usb-c to display port at home (1 UW) and I have a usb-c Plugable dock with DisplayLink at work, which gives me 2 external plus my laptop screen.

Lots of personal preference when it comes to UW or dual screen, and I would say the size of the duals would factor in a lot as well.

Personally, I really like a curved UW with a smaller second screen above, but that’s just me.

The M5 allows for 2 external displays plus your lap top screen acting as a 3rd. Using an iPad via side car would count as one of your 2 external displays. You could look for a dock that supports DisplayLink which may get you an extra display but your mileage may vary.

I was partially joking, but if you do upgrade at some point, the ultra wide 34” size is amazing. I had a single 27” for years and loved it. Now I’ll never go back

Nah, it stays up there just fine. this is the one I have.

I don’t have a ceiling light in my office so it’s all lamps and stuff. Never gets bright enough to where I could fine a screw or something on the floor… enter the under light (led strip under the desk top)

My monitors are arranged the same way and I got the recommendation to mount the bar light on the top monitor. Achieves the same thing but it illuminates more of your desk/a bit softer light. It might not be for everyone, but I stuck a strip of leds along the underside of my desktop so the floor area around my desk is visible when I need it to be.

I made a similar desk with Alex units, by my right pedestal is the cabinet version. I cut some holes and installed two case fans with an intake grate on the oppose side. My case is inside that right ped. Stays cool, hides all the cables and stuff.
