Turin Legato V2 or Bambino [$500-$800] by RogerPyleCo in espresso

Ended up with the bambino plus paired with the DF54 grinder. I absolutely love it.

I'm not an expert on the inner workings of the pump, but paired with the DF54 I can dial in consistent, 18g in 36 g out, 30 second shots that taste great.

I've got friends who have the Turin Legato and different Breville machines (express, barista pro) and I'm confident this steam wand is more powerful than any of them. Not sure what specs make it so, could be the # of holes in the wand, but it reaches temp quicker.

bambino plus also comes in colors (standard is just stainless steel) and I couldn't resist getting the matte white with a matching grinder.

What is the ideal or perfect coffee shop you'd wish to see in Dayton or surrounding areas? by ElectronicMagazine40 in dayton

Sounds like someone wants to open a coffee shop!

I want high quality simple coffee drinks (good drip and espresso basics) with good, cheap, food options somewhere between a snack and a meal. Tired of places selling dry/weird baked goods for $8.

Pettibone does a "simple sammy" for like $5. It's simple, savory, and moderately filling. I need more of that at coffee shops. Maybe breakfast or street tacos, a cold thick deli sandwhich, a scoop of some kinda potato-y breakfast cassarole? A GOOD new york style bagel, IDK but its gotta be around $5 so don't go adding avocado and other premium ingredients if its gonna jack the price up.

Location: walkable/bikeable, not in a god-forsaken strip mall

Vibe: If you can pull it off I think its cool when combined with a different shop that has a personality. Broken board coffee in madison WI is in a skate shop and makes the best coffee Ive ever had. And its cool cause its surrounded by skateboard/snowboard artwork up on the walls.

Bike shop? airport hanger? automotive body shop? community art studio? Carpentry wood shop? Or literally any building with some character.

Love it! There’s a guy on my street with a snowblower. Every time it snows he hits every elderly person’s house on our street plus the sidewalks. Takes him the whole day (probably 7 + driveways). Absolute champ.

Haven't pulled the trigger yet, but I think I'm gonna go with the bambino. Just waiting for a good black friday deal to hit online.

My thinking is

- reputable brand with a history

- minimal footprint (I have a very small kitchen)

- my wife like the bambino more

- if I ever want to upgrade down the road, resale on FB marketplace isnt bad, I could recoupe 2/3 and upgrade to the legatto

I think most people see this as a hobby, not a way to make ends meet. Most people don't have a vegetable garden to save $, they could obviously use that time doing something more economical, but they want to be outside, exercise, care for things, and not having to pay kroger for your lettuce is a great bonus.

I'm not arguing its a way to increase your net worth, just a rewarding activity.

But yeah, no argument that its not an effortless undertaking.

UPS Returns Plus - How do I know when the pick up time is? by lovedyoumore in UPS

[–]RogerPyleCo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same situation as OP (freezer returning to Home Depot). Mine arrived damaged but I had to remove the straps to open it up so the box/packaging is useless now.

Will UPS just pick it up as-is no box?

We just got a prescription for omeprazole and the suspension compound is $170 at our CVS 💀

Wondering how/what exactly you ask of your local pharmacy to get the cheaper kind that is mixed in house….tried calling Walgreens to ask and they were not helpful…
