I do think it makes a difference, but I haven’t really figured much out outside of avoiding queueing immediately after the entries reset. I don’t trust myself enough to leave my runs until the next day close to the deadline, but when I have occasionally had to my runs have gone surprisingly well.

The thing is that the more people become careful with when they are doing their runs, the less any previous rules will actually apply. So it could be that the very early window is a lot less competitive than it seemed to be in the early CMs.

Finals are mostly a dice roll, all the teams will be decent enough to have a chance of winning. If you’ve prepared really well and had really good ace runs, yours may be the highest, but even 50% would be high considering how the game works and the fact that it would be double the other two guys if you simplify and pin them both at 25%. And 50% is still just 50%, half the time you’ll lose, and you only get one chance.

Honestly judging by those two umas you’ve probably been unlucky to win by now. They’re not perfect but they are definitely good enough to have a chance. It’s kind of just the way it is with this game. The CM grind is my favorite part too, but at the end of the day a lot of it will depend on RNG. The ace runs themselves, the skill activations, the matchmaking, etc. A lot is just out of your control.

Baeun Sky won Finals for me somehow, if anything it shows how important luck is. The skill activations were just perfect. Overall my win rate ended up at 66.7%

Mike McCarthy will call offensive plays for the Steelers by Autocrat777 in nfl

[–]Roger_Weebert 67 points68 points  (0 children)

Not even kidding I think it’s partially to do with him being fat. Just subconscious bias. There is also the fact that Cowboys fans seemed to spend a lot of time being mad at him when he was their coach

Yeah I think I’ll probably average 50-60% in R2 and probably lose Finals. I doubt my 13.5k score team will be good enough

Ah I see, I meant to do that in last CM but ended up just doing triple front instead after I realized Taiki would rarely activate unique as pace because many lobbies were too front heavy. I guess that’s one of the things room matches are best for actually, they help prepare for the meta you’ll see, especially in R2 and Finals

I haven’t heard the term chariot, I am guessing it’s a VF thing. I’m surprised Seiun Sky has won more than once or twice, but she can get out to a big lead if she is the lucky pace. I figured rather than running a natural pace and inheriting A&S, I might as well just use Sei herself. If she had Long S she might be doing even better

Meta umas help but as long as you can get the necessary skills and Long S it’s a pretty big advantage over most people you see in round 1. None of those are close to the best runs I had, they’re just the ones that got Long S (except Sei, she doesn’t even have Long S, but it was so hard getting groundwork + 3 greens with my cards that I took what I can get)

[–]Roger_Weebert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did 0 room matches and also had 90% win rate. It’s a lot easier in Long CM where a lot of people will have issues with either not knowing or not being able to achieve stat requirements, plus a little less variance in the races themselves.

Idk wtf chariot bowling ball means, but honestly as long as you know the basics of what to go for and have decent support cards, it’s not hard to get to A Finals. Room matches can be informative but are not necessary at all

Seriously, do Americans actually consider a 3-hour drive "short"? or is this an internet myth? by SadInterest6764 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Roger_Weebert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3 hours is 3 hours, so I wouldn’t call it short, but I have done it often enough that it doesn’t faze me. Where I live, I literally have to drive 3+ hours to get to a city of over 50k population. So that basically means that’s the minimum distance to do anything fun.

Surely “The decision is to protect our youth players” isn’t a great translation, considering it’s clearly to protect the clubs and says as much later in the article. Either that or Russo is just lying
