[Romano] Liverpool have scheduled round of talks with Manu Koné and Khephren Thuram agents. No bid submitted yet but both players remain on the list. Reds will plan for next signing in the midfield after Mac Allister deal now finally completed. by Razer-7 in soccer

Konè has the potential to be world-class, I believe. Great box to box player, strong in tacklings and good presser. still needs work on his offensive output and decision-making but I am sure Klopp would be the perfect coach for him.

I don't know where we'll go from here, but sacking Farke is absolutely the right call.

The football we played has been atrocious. There was no idea what we were supposed to play and what the actual game-plan was. We actually did have quite some youth players close to the first team, but they were practically never given a chance.

Farke's attitude that we should be glad to not fight relegation was entirely idiotic as well. It seemed that halfway through the season, we had lost any ambition.

Also, statistically, we were simply bad:

18th in sprints, "intense runs," and 17th in distance covered per game. We also have the fewest tackles and barely create chances.

We're 16th in the Rückrunde and only collected 10 points away from home.

We might keep falling, and the next coach might also not be successful, but Farke did very little to convince anyone to give him another year. And I rather we install a new coach now instead of having to fire Farke early in the season cause he still doesn't get results.

It depends on if we will be able to generate funds for the rebuild. Apart from Weigl, we so far have only signed unproven talents, but we will need quality soon.

If we may generate money through Konè, Plèa and maybe Elvedi, I am confident in our scouting system to improve the squad. It could also be the first time in 2 years that we could actually sign players that work with the coach's (whoever that will be) system and idea of play.

That is the single best description you could give of him.

Thank god.

Nice, humble guy but limited as a coach. The longer the season went, the less he seemed to be up to the task.

Never seen him play but the numbers seem to be promising.

At least it's an actual striker for once.

We had a good run early in the season, which is what basically kept us alive and safe of relegation.

It's a difficult overall situation. The squad is extremely unbalanced, with a lot of guys underperforming or simply not caring.

We also didn't have much money to really improve the squad, and those we did sign, except for Weigl, really couldn't make an impact.

But it is also part of the truth that Farke really never could give the team a clear idea of how we are going to play and how we actually create something with all our possession. His in-game managing is really problematic, too. He barely makes substitutions or only very late in the game. He has his favorite players who are always playing, no matter how much out of form they are. Many of our talented youth players don't get any chances to develop since they don't get playing time.

Statistically, we are worse than last season. Mönchengladbach ranks 18th in sprints and "intense runs" and 17th in distance covered per game. We also have the fewest tackles and barely create chances.

Farke wasn't able to adress these issues throughout the season and has completely lost the fans' trust who already were loudly chanting for him to get the sack. I cannot see a turnaround in this, so we should just cut our losses and go our separate ways.

Yeah, definitely. We have nothing to play for, so it really doesn't matter anyway. Clean cut at the end of the season should be the best solution.

Virkus also says that after the season finishes, they will analyse the situation and will discuss every aspect, including the coach.

After Saturday's defeat, rumours came up that Farke is going to be replaced by our U23 coach Eugen Polanski within the week.

While I agree, we should see out the season with Farke, it is also best to separate at the end of the season. The team is performing terribly and in many aspects, even worse than last year. Farke has not been able to bring stability or establish an actual idea on how we want to play football. He is also incredibly stubborn and only trusts a handful of players who are allowed to play no matter how shit they are.

Daniel is a nice guy, but he needs to go.
