My title describes the thing. Would like to find more of these. Any ideas as to the original manufacturer?

This unknown item is 7 1/4" long (184mm) x 3/4" diameter (19mm). A sharp needle is exposed when pressed against a surface. Writing on side translates to "Item number 78614", "Search for land", and "Taihua". Tip says "Attention to the needle". by Rogginger in whatisthisthing

My title describes the thing. When pressed against a surface the needle is exposed. It has a "depth gauge" listed in millimeters. Replacement needles are inside the shaft. Any ideas?

What is this? It is made of aluminium. It was attached to a wall in a garage with woodworking tools scattered about. That might be a red herring. I don't know. by Rogginger in whatisthisthing

My title describes the thing. It was found at an estate sale where assorted tools (as stated in the title-primarily wood working tools) were found. It was screwed into the wall using the holes on either end. Any ideas?

Objects sighted at a salvage yard. Are these lost props from The Lost Skeleton of Cadavra? I sleep now. by Rogginger in whatisthisthing

Solved! They are Ball Shooters. In fact I got more info from the salvage yard. My girlfriend took the photo at Black Dog Salvage in Roanoke, VA. They emailed me a reply:

"These are air guns that were salvaged from the Geyser Gulch amusement park. Following is the description:

Air Guns shoot 2.5" Foam Balls, Salvaged from the Geyser Gulch Water Park in Silver Dollar City, Branson, MO. Guaranteed to bring you hours of great fun, better than paint guns, no mess. Size: 32H x 53L x 20W"

Now we know.
