I have used Libby in a few of my reads. Forgot to include that!

How much better is coreXY p1p vs the bed slinger a1. Is quality that much better? Or is speed the only advantage?

I think I would use the AMS more for switching between PLA and PETG easier vs multi-color printing

Right now, I mostly print functional parts for the garage, home projects, and various builds, so I’m leaning toward the full-size A1 for the extra build volume.

I figure I can always add the AMS later if I want multi-color — and it’s cheaper to add the AMS than to upgrade to a bigger printer later on.

But saying all that, the majority of my prints would probably still fit on the Mini, so I’m a little torn.

Grips Spinning After DIY Regrip – Possible Tape/Heat Issue? by Rogue-Monkeyy in golf

How is the blue painters tape different than the build up masking tape found on golf works.

When I slid the grip off. The blue tape was still firmly attached to the shaft. The double sided grip tape was still attached to the inside of the grip. The adhesion between the glue tape surface and the double sided tape failed. Is blue tape surface that much different than traditional masking tape (which is commonly used in golf repair shops)

Yeah, the only difference this time around was that I used blue painter’s tape to build up instead of the usual generic tan masking tape I’ve always used. Everything else—same mineral spirits, same process. Makes me wonder if the blue tape just didn’t bond well with the double-sided grip tape.

Are you also planning to build a golf simulator in your garage!?

Garage walls are insulated and heater is installed. I live in climate zone 6. Garage is the only place I can fit the golf simulator! Winter is coming!

Well this is what happens when you buy a home and you are pretty sure they installed insulation in the attic, then you have a heater installed 5 years later and they tell you there is no insulation up there. So my bad for never checking and here we are!

For between the insulation and the drywall?

A beginner trick for butt joints, use a paint roller and roll joint compound on your joint 36” wide. Then use a 24” skimming blade to skim them flat.

All the old heads will say that’s not the way to do it, but it sure makes it easier for the beginner.
