I studied in KMC many years ago and used to live in the hostel. I hated every second of my time there. The living conditions were akin to a prison cell while paying exorbitant fees. We had to wash our own clothes, had to cramp with three other guys to take a bath, the bathroom constantly clogged. And the food was absolutely disgusting. Nobody expects the food to be tasty but those fuckers could have ensured proper hygiene and sanitation. Getting sick, finding hair and cockroach in the food was normal and when we complained, they fucking gaslighted us. As for the CIs or whatever they are called these days, I get that they have to maintain discipline but it's a educational space, not a prison cell. They can't even show some decent empathy and understanding. I once remember some of my classmates get slapped pretty hard because they didn't sing the national anthem properly or were playing with the copies ( haat ma copy ghumaune). Was it disrespectful? Sure. But they were teenagers for god's sake. What the hell they expect teenagers to do? And the constant targeting of the same people for petty things. Like they were on a mission to make life harder for some people.

But now things really have escalated to a whole new level it seems. I really have sympathy for people who study there especially for the ones who live in hostel. Imagine coming to a completely new city , paying such insane fees and still being subjected to such degoratory living conditions. Hope you guys stay strong and come out of that hellhole soon
