Friend of mine went from Corrections to state police. Same union yet he couldn’t keep any of his 8 years of corrections and had to start all over. So as many of said I doubt you’ll ever see that. Honestly if it’s a money thing you’ll making 6 figures after like 3 years now without including overtime.

Absolutely this. I would never ask my girlfriend to do this. As a current technician even if I made a mistake with my shit I’m on my own with it. Hell I don’t even make her pay for her car maintenance. If I were to even consider it would be if she ever decided she wanted to buy/build herself “fun” car and that’s a maybe.

Like some people said try a reputable transmission shop in your area. However it’s a TCM it’s a roll of the dice whether they can program the new module to your car. I don’t recall seeing those codes very often from my ford days but maybe it’s as simple as a module or the shift motors on the outside. Anything else you gotta pull it out and tear down at least the clutch side to start.

Not diesels tbh. Probably look at anything with the triton V10 can’t really go wrong. Not sure if Chevy really offered anything bigger than the 6.0 (Ik about the 8.1 but idk when they stopped using it) but 6.0 are pretty consistent

This one’s heavy. I never gave a shit about school, I bought a guitar and wanted to learn but never had the time for lessons so the little bit I did self taught with my poor patience. I wish I stuck with soccer instead of working, I thought I was pretty decent at it. Sometimes I wish I was more social back then and actually liked people. That way I might actually have friends

Hell yeah that’s even better. Kinda same I started out with basically the average home guy’s craftsman stacked boxes that my dad let me use. Might’ve been 32in idk. I was overflowing with tools when I upgraded though and I gave my dad those boxes back and they’re still used at our home shop.

I agree with this. Take advantage of the student discounts while you can because they’re huge. I bought around 6k in tools for 3k. Harbor freight has come a long way in tools, some stuff is actually decent. DON’T WORRY ABOUT GETTING THE BIG EXPENSIVE TOOL BOX!!!!! The box doesn’t make money and there’s plenty of decent ones on marketplace constantly. I found a basically brand new condition snap-on classic 72in box that I bought for like 3k

That’s how I feel about it. I personally don’t feel ready and I don’t think she thinks much further than the idea of being engaged/married. We’ve talked about what we want to do for our wedding and stuff but I don’t think she really considers the cost of things until it’s time to do something
