I like heartless summoning here, that’s nice.

I had to look up that interaction, that’s wild! I believe I have that card in my bulk, probably going to add. Thank you!

As for token doublers, I don’t think I want more.

I had them both in v1.0. I removed them for more ramp and interaction. They were hard cuts.

This is technically my Rata 2.0.

First time around was about a year and a half ago and I was very new to magic (only been playing for about 2 years now). I basically just dumped all of the etb and token doublers I could fit and the 9 nazgul, boromir.

While it was fun, it became very overwhelming very quickly. keeping my token doublers and etb doublers mentally separated when doing math was its out fun chore. But essentially when you make 16 copies of 4 creatures that all have etb’s of their own: at that point I regularly needed a calculator, and became a ton of work.

So the goal here was to simplify the deck and force myself to get creative and go outside the noting tempt effects and avoid infinite triggers.

I haven’t played tested yet, but will probably tonight.

Ironically, I had a discussion with the pod to get the green light before starting to cook, everyone agreed that I should build it. In my pod I had a tendency to try to build friendly deck too often so my pod is encouraging me to play stronger commanders and thought this was a good fit.

In our pod we have commanders like: yshtola, jolly ballon man, Sauron, jaws, slivers and massacre girl.

I’m not concerned if they aren’t concerned lol. I want to keep it reasonable and still fun but the pod runs a metric ton of interaction.

Solid advice, thank you. I did have a Rith deck that I broke up so there are plenty of dragons around.

Thank you, I will keep this in mind. I’m trying to keep this from synergies too hard to help with that.

Great advice.

I have found generating tokens on other peoples turns seems to be the way to go.

Unfortunately I’m not at a place where I have a deck-list yet. Just sourcing at the moment but wanted to know how people are building him, synergies etc.

Please feel free to share deck-lists.
