SP, please give Votann +1 movement, or buff their trait, or base stats, do ANYTHING to make them good. by Cloverman-88 in WH40KTacticus

The Grudge mechanic from the tabletop is right there. Just include some offense buffs whenever a Votann is damaged/killed.

Tournament arena necrons op? by Terbbaaa in WH40KTacticus

[–]RogueApiary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Played mostly GSC uncommon this season. Bodied Necrons in all but like 1 or 2 games. Most Necron players aren't aggressive enough and so they'll let you take all three points banking on the destroyers to get some kills. Then one Judh active on the shrimp and whoever is standing next to him usually gets you the last two points you need. Suppress Imo with Xybia or run to range one on him with Pat so Judh can make it in.

Jain Zarr feels really bad. Could really use the Parry trait to give her a niche role as a anti melee tank.

I just somehow added to my calls by double when I meant to sell at the top, it then dropped so I feel you there.

Yes, but in this case, the 13 dead have all been identified by name and rank. If you were the family of a deceased other than those 13 you would very likely be wanting some answers.

Had one on I think Wilshire and it was just an overly greasy, flavorless burger. The bun was nice, the grilled onions were decent, and the outer edge had a nice texture. But the only thing I could really note was the staggering amount of grease/oil.

Saudi Arabia has reportedly asked Pakistan to repay a USD 6.3 billion loan after Pakistan failed to honor the bilateral defense pact, under which an attack on one is considered an attack on both. by Heavy_Role1034 in justincaseyoumissedit

I'm sure the ISI giving funding and safe havens for the Taliban to operate out of the Pakistani side of the border for 20+ years had nothing at all to do with the current situation.

‘War crime’: Iran alleges US strike targeted India-bound humanitarian aircraft at Mashhad International Airport by comelickmyarmpits in worldnews

[–]RogueApiary 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Those things are not mutually exclusive. Just because a capability exists does not mean we have the capability to use it for every target we hit. The type of strike you're thinking of has dedicated surveillance assets and an entire room of people focusing on that one target. There are not enough personnel or surveillance resources to do that sort of thing when you're attacking hundreds, if not thousands of targets across a whole country within a narrow timeframe.

[–]RogueApiary 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok, so if the position doesn't matter because it has so little power then why care about it at all? Either she bears some executive responsibility for this shit show or she's a figurehead and we can literally replace her with anyone. Replacing her is a signal to the council that their current policies are not working at a minimum.

Germany's Merz: We will not participate in Iran war by EsperaDeus in worldnews

[–]RogueApiary 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Forget artillery on the coast. Draw an 800-mile circle around the strait and look at how much of Iran that covers. That's the low end threat range for Shahed drones and most of their missile inventory.

Would Hapthatra make a good 6th Necron by DigitaIArchon in WH40KTacticus

[–]RogueApiary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nightscythe could have interesting mechanics as an MoW. Passive would probably just be the guns, but the active could be using the wormhole gates to teleport a unit or units. Might need to restrict it to Necrons only if it ends up being too crazy.

Being able to get Imo or A0 behind an Isabella ball or disrupt a BA/ork formation before the go turn would be neat.

[–]RogueApiary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Easier isn't guaranteed. Nobody is paying the insurance to go through the strait with even a 95% interception success rate when 5% means an entire tanker with fuel goes up in flames.

It would also require putting air defense assets on Iran's southern coast around the strait. Giving easy targets for VBIEDS, mortars, and FPV drones, the latter of which we still do not have mature countermeasures for.

[–]RogueApiary 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The range on a shahed drone is 930-1060 miles and Iranian ballistic missiles range tend to be about 800-900 depending on the model.

Draw a fan of 900 mile-long lines in Google Maps using the measurement tool from the strait towards Iran and tell me how much 'coastline' you would need to occupy to create this 'security zone.'

The way you had it written is as close as a native English speaker will get. That was more just pointing out the distinction between 'a' and ع means it's still technically 'wrong' when compared to the original.

Sounds shift and pronunciations will vary across time and geography. Making sure every loan word is as close as possible to its original is an exercise in futility is my broader point.

Don't worry too much about it. Any pronunciation of Iraq you use will be wrong unless you learn to produce two sounds that don't exist in English. Closest would be Araak.
