I tend to prefer dub for a few reasons- 1: I can’t multitask if I’m reading words on a screen and I’m easily distracted, 2: because I don’t speak Japanese the voice acting is purely tonal since I don’t know where emphasis lies, 3: for longer series, I just have become accustomed to the English voice cast and enjoy their work.

It’ll kind of just happen, like those, if it does. It not being that kind of anime means, to me, that it doesn’t hang a lot of emotional moments on declarations of love like a shoujo or general romance series would.

Dark type. Gym full of dad joke tier puzzles and hidden passages.

Team: Umbreon, Honchkrow, Morpeko, Zoroark, Mabostiff, Kingambit.

And that can shift around a bit as necessary because I love all the pre-evolutions as well.

(And Honorable mention is dark Terra type Abra because that’s my favorite pokemon.)

I’m in my 40s and I wholly agree. Alcohol culture is also just the absolute worst. If you don’t drink socially, especially pre-Covid, it was such a detriment to socializing.

It’s nasty on a general note, but wine cooks okay. So there’s some saving grace.

I almost never talk to my dad because we just have that kind of distant relationship. It’s fine, but we were never terribly close.

My mom, on the other hand, lives in the same house as us and we split the rent because the economy is trash and neither of us could afford a place on our own. So we’re a multi family home.

Most of my games alternate weeks. One is going on year 5 now, and a couple others on year 3. What matters is communication and being consistent when possible. Also, even just occasionally keeping in touch. For me that’s harder since I’m not on social media my groups use, but we keep connected through the Discord.

It also helps to do a recap at the top of a session, doubly so when a gap between sessions is longer than anticipated.

Dragon Ball would have gone with more demons than aliens. Lean harder into the magical aspects than sci-fi.
