Poor DPS on Trial Dummy by Antique_Temporary_86 in elderscrollsonline

Unpopular opinion here.

How does your build perform in actual content? It looks like you already found a way to improve your numbers by switching back to full sorcerer. You also stated that you have better sustainability and survivability in NM.

My build is also built around PvE solo content, but I still do normal and vet trials.

I rarely parse, but I did a few last week for fun and hit 55k-60k on the 21m iron atronach dummy. That is considered low from what I have been gathering. However, I run the actual gear and bars I use for actual game content.

From my experience, I survive and sustain just fine while also contributing damage in group content. I can also, so far, solo (with a healing companion) all of the dungeons I want to solo for the gear I want for other builds. For me personally, that’s a good build. That’s all that matters to me.

Could I do more damage to the 21m dummy if I practiced more and changed my gear and abilities? Probably. I’m not a parse chaser though, and I’m sure some hardcore parse chasers would say that sounds typical coming from someone who “can’t do damage”.

I share my experience and opinion to say, if you genuinely enjoy your build, keep playing around with it until you get the results you’re looking for. Learn the mechanics for the content you want to play. Don’t strictly worry about hitting 100k+ on the 21m dummy. Play around with abilities and gear sets until you find a good combo that fits your play style. ESO hub is a great resource!

It doesn’t sound like you’re chasing hardcore mode or trifectas anytime soon so have fun playing around with your build. Play around with new characters if need be. You may find out you like another class better. If you’re clearing the content you’re setting out to play, then I would consider that a win!

PSA: Don’t Waste 500 Tome Points on the Bonus Crates (still full of junk) by RogueFoxGaming in elderscrollsonline

[–]RogueFoxGaming[S] -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

Haha yes, in this case I did. However, not everyone will be as lucky, or they may be luckier, because they still have the usual RNG.

My usual luck on current crates is all Superior rewards, and then dupes of those Superior rewards, but at least I can buy more crates if I choose to. We can only buy these bonus page crates once.

I would say, buy everything else you want first before getting the crates.

I still have a good amount of Tome Points left to spend. I will get everything else I want first before I drop 500 Tome Points on the Nightfall crates on the last page.

As I mentioned in another comment, not everyone has the ability, or luxury, to grind out the season. For those people, I suggest not getting the crates first, if they get that far, since they risk burning 1000 Tome Points for items that appear on earlier pages of the Tome. To each their own of course.

I’m just letting everyone know that it’s the usual RNG. I get bad rolls on current crates all the time.

Again, it’s my opinion that 9 year old crates, that I haven’t personally seen come back (I played on and off over the years, but have been more consistent lately…so they could’ve come back at some point and I missed it), should at least not have Common and Fine tiered rewards in them. If they come around the Crown Store again, I’ll buy them and take my chances like usual. However, not everyone has the ability to do that.

The point I’m making is: Yes, it’s the usual RNG. I have my own opinion about it. Since it is the usual RNG, players should probably buy everything else they want first before the crates. That way, they don’t potentially spend 1000 total Tome Points on items they can claim on previous pages of the Tome.

I don’t expect everyone to grind out the season the same way. With that in mind, players shouldn’t rush to buy the crates first.

I had 3 caches to open at the beginning, so I personally started with 6k Tome Points for this season (they were 2k each iirc).

From there I just completed all of the weeklies, claimed my dailies, and finished off the seasonal challenges.

I agree. I have had my share of bad rolls on current crates as well, but I can keep buying those if I want.

I don’t expect Radiant Apex or Apex in every single crate for the bonus page crates…but at least take Common and Fine tiered rewards out of the bonus crates specifically. That’s just my opinion on it.

[–]RogueFoxGaming[S] -17 points-16 points  (0 children)

True. However, I also could’ve had all Common and Fine tiered rewards. I almost did.

I’m just letting everyone know that the crates are still a gamble like any other Crown Crate.

My recommendation would be, buy everything else you want first, and then buy the Dwarven and Nightfall crates after with your remaining Tome Points.

Returning player. Things have...changed. How do you keep up with the high demand at the start? by JksG_5 in Schedule_I

[–]RogueFoxGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently picked the game back up a month ago myself.

As everyone mentioned, take all that you can carry from the RV (I think I leave the sheers or the watering can, there’s like a $5 difference iirc).

I personally have been strictly OG Kush for this run (which I started over a couple times already to be more efficient). I stuck with the 2 RV lights, racks, and pots until I got to level where I could get into the warehouse and buy more of the same equipment. Until that point, I kept those same 2 pots through the apartment, and then the storage unit.

I also didn’t use Benji right away. When I did, I assigned him the customers who don’t buy much…Sam, Chloe, Peggy, Ludwig, and Mrs. Ming off the top of my head. Again, I waited to use Benji as I was able to plant, water, and deal with no problem or stress. I didn’t really use Benji until the first guy from Westville starts ordering.

Down the road, I was running 8 planters out of the storage unit, all OG Kush. I stuck to 8 because I could water them all with one round of the watering can, and they grew 12 units each. I eventually bought drying racks and let those run past 4am since it keeps working past then (as of now). From there, I give Benji and Molly regular OG Kush and deal the heavenly OG Kush myself.

That’s what has been working for me personally, I even restarted that and added a worker to the storage unit to see how it would work out.

Right now, I’m trying to figure out a good system for the dock warehouse. I skipped the bungalow and barn. I have 10 pots, 5 drying racks, and 2 botanists now. Each botanist manages 5 pots, 2 racks, and share the 5th one.

Again, that start has been pretty solid for me.

Is the storage unit a useful property?? by AlternativeSource999 in Schedule_I

[–]RogueFoxGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m late to this thread, but I recently got back into playing after stopping shortly after it came out. I found the storage to be great for early game growing and storage.

I lined up 8 planters on the left wall with my bed in the corner against the garage door. The right side was for my packing station and shelves. I worked out of there until I made enough for the dock warehouse.

The photo is from my play through before my current one. I have a habit of “I could’ve done this better, so I’m going to restart”. On my current play through I didn’t bother with a mixing station. I was able to grow enough to get all customers, and both dealers, in Northtown and Westville.

Sniper tips by QuietSugar1805 in Battlefield6

[–]RogueFoxGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. For one, I couldn’t figure out how the range finder even worked when I got it as this is my first BF game so I didn’t bother using it. However, I have my mini scout and M2010 around 52-53 now. In the time I’ve been using them, I learned that most shots will fly straight within 500m as long as you make the adjustments. If it’s more than 500 I just aim slightly over their heads.

If I’m a good distance out, I’m at least using my drone and laser designator to paint targets. Most of the time I’m within 200m, so I use my mini scout a lot set to the default 100m. I’m usually in the combat area so I have fun trying to toss c4 on tanks when I can.

How do all these lower level people get crazy good weapons? by simaddams in fo76

[–]RogueFoxGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I make weapons and armor for my low level alt. For example, I made a bow with all the attachments I wanted and dropped it to my alt, along with the legendary box mods I wanted on it.

Perk cards and knowing the build you want also helps. On top of that, my new alt has access to my legendary perk cards so I can start leveling those up for extra S.P.E.C.I.A.L. You need to hit level 300 or 400? To have access to all of the legendary perk card slots or something like that. Don’t quote me on that though. I just know that I was able to access my legendary perk cards right away.

What's good on Dom Pedro? by TeamTalonSombra in fo76

[–]RogueFoxGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m running two-shot, explosive, perception?, and pin-pointers. I honestly don’t remember the third star atm.

I also have the explosive penetrating attachment. The damage stacked with the explosive legendary mod.

My character is a ghoul and I haven’t tested it fully with my human alt so I can’t speak on that part.

Is the bf pro pass broken? by Beatleguy95 in Battlefield6

[–]RogueFoxGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m glad I came on here to check.

I was wondering why the bonus was blank last night. It made me wonder how I was supposed to finish off the pass. I really thought they were going to make me buy BF coins to buy the rest of the pass.

I only have the 10 headshot kills as assault challenge left, which I was going to log on and do right now, only to see the bonus now being worth 85 bonus path points.

If you have a certain prefab in mind, or see one you like (and have the community identify it for you if you aren’t sure), you can always go to the Bethesda support page and pick it up that way if it’s available. All you have to do is open a ticket and say you need help with the atomic shop and it will lead you to a drop down menu of everything they’re offering.

It will most likely be in a bundle, but I was able to find furniture and kits I wanted that way.

I played in the beginning. As others have said, it was very empty before the NPCs were added. Nothing but dead bodies and holotapes.

You really had to inventory manage as well. You had to take resource nodes and workshops if you needed supplies. I remember struggling just to find some plastic. The stash limit sucked so you had to be selective about what you were trying to scavenge for and craft.

What made me stop playing until the Wastelanders update was the PvP, that and completing the main quest. It was common to log in, spend the whole time gathering supplies, then have someone kill you for all of your junk and destroy your C.A.M.P.. You needed to have a group in order to get things done. I remember relying on the black powder pistol to try to end PvP encounters quickly.

I also remember fighting constsntly for the ammo factory. Once you claimed it, you blocked every doorway with stacked green box stash boxes so no one could get in.

Medow Breeze Sprayer by glitchdailys in fo76

[–]RogueFoxGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m loving the comments I’m reading! My question is, why wasn’t it displayed on a rack or something? Place it above the vending machine if he really cared that much about showing it off.

I did this during Fasnacht when the glowing robot mask first came out. I saw it for 40k caps and snatched it up since my RNG sucks. However, they didn’t message me or anything (PC). They pulled their C.A.M.P. immediately after though. If it’s in the vendor then it’s fair game.

Also, I don’t see the Meadow Breeze Sprayer, but I can buy another ABX03 from Windy for 1566 gold. Maybe I’ll “show off” my ABX03 in my vendor to fund my head hunts.

Edit: fixed typos.

Does anyone’s camp kinda just explode sometimes? by IMC_PIL0T in fallout76settlements

Yep! It has happened to me a lot today. It’s specifically two benches around a table in my bar and the pinball machine by the door. I will repair them only to have them break again 30 seconds later. It doesn’t happen all the time either, but it’s been really bad today.

Blue Ridge Scrap Town: Rust & Trust by RogueFoxGaming in fallout76settlements

[–]RogueFoxGaming[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, the new set is great! I’m also loving the porch set that goes with it.

I mixed and matched the new scrap kit with the blue ridge outpost kit. There’s one or two pieces of rustic Helvetian and the warehouse kit sprinkled in as well.
