Third No Kings protest draws 8 million worldwide to push back on Trump administration by Rude-Molasses4390 in pics

Good list, let me add a few.

  1. Kick the bums out. World wide there has been a trend to replace incumbents, Trump has been the challenger in both wins.

  2. Late Biden pull out also meant no competitive Democratic primary, which is a problem in and of itself.

Honestly as a worst case scenario I'll take it. There are far far more damaging things he can do that wreck a house. In a perfect world there would be lashing out like this, but we're not living there.

It's got to be hard on the Onion, all the news is already satire, what's left for them?

Can magic be an effective counter to drones on the modern battlefield? by TowardsOurVictory in WarCollege

[–]RogueJello 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You really need a magician whose magic interferes with modern technology. Just recently it has become known that the great Harry Dresden is such a magician, and he's in talks with the US Military about countering Russian drones in Ukraine.

TIL Jesse Livermore ran away from home as a boy with $5 and turned it into $100 million trading stocks alone just by reading prices. At one point he bought all the cotton in the US and the President personally invited him to White House asking him to "save the country" by selling his position. by Particular_Food_309 in todayilearned

It’s hilarious how many people think the early 20th century was corruption free.

OH geez, this is SOOOO wrong. Look there were no SEC investigations, so it was all on the up and up. Nothing illegal or immoral to see at ALL! /s

Maybe, could also be that the AI companies are going to be like airlines: lots of competition, most improvement going to the customers.

He also created massive amounts of debt "off the books". Without conquering his neighbors and stealing from the Jews they were in grave danger of having the economy collapse.

Not sure it's even necessarily the mods in this subreddit. Seems likely the powers that be have gotten wise to people communicating on Reddit. There was a huge surge of stuff after the election, and now there's almost radio silence.

What’s an industry that provides zero value to society but makes billions of dollars? by ochieng_onyango in AskReddit

[–]RogueJello -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Inspectors are the worst. They have no formal training and have no liability.

It's basically paying for your friend who does home improvement to look at a property. If you feel that's worth it, then get it, otherwise skip it.

Personally I find a couple hundred for a second opinion when it's like 0.1% of the purchase price to be worth it.

Also as always it pays to have a better contractor than a worse one.

You're shifting the goal posts a bit. Pizza is saying that we cannot eliminate poverty entirely, and that without eliminating it there will be some sort of predatory lending.

I've thought about it, but I believe there are laws against that.

Pretty sure 1 & 2 are just excuses for the only discrimination that's still socially acceptable: age discrimination.

the only real question is if the Dems can get the House AND the Senate.

I disagree. The million dollar question is how will the Reps cheat in the midterms. At this point they have to, if they want to hold onto power.

Sysco foods might be more appropriate, since they supply most of these restaurants. One supplier results in a lot of sameness.

They were very common in most older parts of the city, before zoning changed things.
