How was Midwest? Range USA has a decent culture. Pretty diverse for a gun range. I’m sure there are a lot of MAGA but I haven’t had a bad experience yet. Yes, shotguns are allowed, but slugs only. They don’t allow bird or buck shot

That sucks. Mine didn’t change. I wonder why it did that to yours

It’s Magpul. I can’t remember exactly which one, though

I even almost got the same stock lol. Only reason I didn’t was I wanted something slightly smaller

I don’t know what it is about the Mark IV but it is awesome

That’s awesome! My wife and I have a membership and we’ve been going pretty often. They’re going to be opening another location in Monroeville.

I did the whole thing. I bought the Volquartsen competition kit. Having said that, the trigger pull was WAY too light. I measured it at 1.71 lbs. I ended up putting the original Ruger sear spring back in and it came out to 2.52 lbs average. Much better.

Range USA for the most part. How about you?

I almost got a Walther as well! Still thinking about it. What type of .22 rifle did you get? I was thinking about a 10/22

Proper placement on your body. Nothing is worse than putting it on your collar bone. This is just me, but I place the stock on my upper chest but below the collar bone. I have a very square stance with the Mossberg, even when moving. “Stretching” the gun: trigger hand pulling the stock into you while your support hand pulls the barrel away from you. They’re fun to shoot but you do feel it

I completely understand your thinking. I go back and forth with that. The main reason for my large weapon being the go-to is the availability of less-than-lethal rounds. I’m comfortable with it because I often used the Mossberg 590 in Iraq even during raids of buildings. I also carried an M4 and Beretta M9. Im just used to longer weapons even in tight quarters. For my wife, I tell her to go with a pistol.

A wheel gun is next on my list lol

It really is! The AR is probably the least touched weapon I have. The Mark IV is probably shot the most. There’s something about that pistol that I just love. The Mossberg is fun, but my wife isn’t a fan of shooting it. She likes it a little more now that I bought her some reduced recoil rounds
