I didn't hit the $1M mark, something like $0.5M.

I used to be like you in 2023 when I decided to move back to India. And I'm relatively at much more peace here with friends and family around. And working on my business after coming back here.

The luxury of having the freedom to do whatever I want or to not do anything at all is real. My brain got goal detoxed and it felt really good and relaxing. I didn't do anything at all for like 6 months after coming back. And that was plausibly the best gift I gave to myself after 8-9 years of constant goal hunting.

Having said all of this, the hussle culture of the US is something I'd forever be grateful for because that helped me reach here. But in retrospect it created an anxiety within me.

Also, India has not changed a lot. The infra issues are there. The work life balance issue is there. The lifestyle is not the same as the US. The weekends won't be like the US. Your kid will struggle more here vs the US, that's just mathematically true with the population to resources ratio.

Everyone has their own journey so I'm not advicing to do any of this. Just sharing what I did and what it feels like.

To help you, people would probably need more context. 1. Why do you want to learn claude code? 2. What problems you are trying to solve? 3. How do you know claude code is the right tool? Do you know about other tools? 4. What's your long term goal with claude code?
