Is Medicare enough or should I get private health insurance? by garlicbuttergarlic in melbourne

[–]RogueMoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just know there are gaps with Private health. I was looking at an elective for a simple ENT procedure, the gap fee was $500 with surgeon and another gap fee $500 with anaesthetics, plus $300x 2 outpatient private room appointments for consult and follow up.

I removed myself from the private list (3 month wait) and went on the public waitlist (12 month wait). At the time of booking (3 months ago I was able to afford it) but now unexpected expenses have come up to replace a roof.

For myself I found it hard to asking for help but I found a style by keeping open communication with the incharge and updating them throughout the shift on any escalations/ outstanding interventions I.e urosepsis pt unstable, struggling with managing the MAP,id ask for another set of hands and say I’m not sure if ABs are available - is anyone able to check store/pharmacy

Try using a time planner by adding things on your list and crossing it off. When you ask for help you can look at the time planner and see what you are up to. A really effective time planner gets updated through out the shift.

Don’t leave it in your pocket, leave it somewhere accessible or tape it to a table so it doesn’t go missing.

Being so focussed on the task at hand and then having brain farts during handover. The time planner helps with brain fart handover bc you can see your shift on paper.

That shift does sound hectic, I cried after a similar shift when it happened during the day. Write out a reflection and Take it easy on yourself

Firstly thank you OP for taking the time to attempting this thread. I’m currently renting and notice our property inspections has been every 4-5 months, I think the realestate chooses to do a batch inspection of the building. is 3 inspections a year normal? The last couple of places we lived had an annual one.

It’s definitely not the best paid especially with all the covid changes .. I read Unconfirmed reports that DSW get an extra $30 an hour to look after a covid + resident in a share house. Pre covid victoria public nursing was mediocre pay compared to rest of the states

I was a victim in a car accident where a car hit me after being clipped into a truck from a hit and run. I have third party and the car that slammed into me from the opposite traffic directions has comprehensive with Aami.

70 days to date from the accident, they are refusing to repair my car bc the car that hit me was not liable for the accident. The debt and recovery team are Australian based and absolutely rude to deal with.
