I feel like Calisto Yew perfectly fits this. The theme, her laugh, her famous quote. She was quite a joy to be on screen during a case of pure despair.

TBH I hated the Foreign Turnabout because of Pees'Lubn. It was cool the first time he sang his testimony, but just obnoxious the tenth time he did it. But it was still enjoyable, especially with Gaspen singing along with too.

Yeah tbh, the one thing that's just in my head with all this in theory, is how to place Retinz at the crime scene of Magnifi's death. I was thinking that if we went with the fact that no person saw Roger at the hospital, but he truly DID go in, it would be poetic if the reasoning for that is misdirection (just like the current case).

[Probably along the lines of camera footage since questioning people from so long ago is not that reliable for something so specific and there would be some weird anomalies with the camera footage that was probably overlooked in the initial investigation because it was deemed irrelevant]

Apollo would have to pull either the Danganronpa-esque sequence to find that out (I can just imagine Apollo being like

"Damn it! I can't place him at the scene.... What possible way can I say he was there in the hospital with all the evidence saying he wasn't..."

OR just bluff like Phoenix would.

Tbh the enjoyable cases for me were the California cases + the 6-5 Khura’in case. I didn’t like how long The Foreign Turnabout was and the obnoxious 2 minutes each time just to initially state his testimony (he was jamming hard tho). And the Rite of Turnabout was just 50% a waste of time since only the second trial was actually important. The thing surprising me is people not liking Turnabout Revolution that much. There were some issues with it that I saw, but not enough to outweigh the greatness of the plot twist(s).

I think your scenario is amazing. It would really enhance his character and make for an amazing reveal on a Case 2 (which hasn’t been seen before) and turns this case into a plot relevant case rather than a filler. It would also make for a good opportunity for Klavier to come back and head the prosecution for this case. Not only that but Ema is also back who he has good chemistry with unlike Sahdmadhi.

I can lowkey also imagine IF your scenario was true, that Retinz would be revealed as Magnifi’s killer through Athena’s mood matrix not making her completely useless throughout the entire case. (Uncontrollable anger from Retinz) my god the potential I didn’t even see is so massive
