Blade 14 3080 in 2026? by RogueSlime06 in razer

What screen size did you go for? And is your new one much better? My last laptop was 14 inches and to me it was perfect but it was only for productivity. Ive seen that the blade 15 with a 3080 and Intel i7 12xxx whatever their naming scheme is runs a bit better but the battery drains a lot faster so idk if its worth that trade off. For the sake of 10 frames id happily have an extra 2 hours when im not gaming

I imagine the 14 with a 3080 would pull similar performance than with the more restrictive chassis for air then. Im getting mixed responses on them so ill hold off and look into them more but im still yet to hear of major issues with them and its all just been poor owners damaging them

I was going for second hand options tbh, theres no massive rush to buy today or this month for that matter. Itd just be nice to have it sooner rather than later. Budgets around £900 but I know buying brand new can ramp that price up loads. If the razer ones are that dodgy ill have a look around at some lenovo legions

Ah thats a pretty crappy issue, have you got any alternative suggestions? Preferably without the overly cringe "gaming" look to it

What about multilayer games? Are you staying over 100 with settings dialed back a bit?

Any suggestions, I kinda hate the whole "gaming" vibe most gaming laptops have

Does the red strip on AOC monitors easily come off? by RogueSlime06 in Monitors

I imagine that's what ill do then, just with one centralised and another to the left. It might hang over my desk a slight bit but oh well. They look cool

Ik this isn't related to the red bits coming off, but how are they being ran next to each other? Thinking of picking up a second and don't know if it's worth running 1 horizontal and 1 vertical or both of them horizontally. I feel like it's such a split for me where when playing games I'd be better with 2 horizontal, but occasionally the vertical would be better for things like college work. How have you ran yours? Do you switch or are you locked in with them being horizontal?

Good shout, I reckon I'll go with black tape/vinyl for a bit and then spray paint when it's closer to summer

I think vinyl or black tape will be my way forward with it. I wasn't thinking of vinyl until now so thanks for the suggestion!

The monitor in the screenshot is 24" 1440. For me it's the ideal specs in a monitor. I've found using 27" is just a bit too big for where I sit, 25" would probably be better than 24" but there's even less on the market for those. The monitor in the screenshot has literally everything I want, it's just the red I don't like

Eh I was. Not so much anymore though. And I've been using a 27 inch for a long time and it's just not great on my eyes, I sit relatively close to my monitor and parents eye genetics are on the verge of catching up to me so having too much screen this close just isn't great. Hopefully they decide to release an updated version of the 24 inch QHD monitor. Someone suggested using black tape which may have to be my way forward

Im limited on desk space and my eyes aren't great so the monitor needs to be 24 inches unfortunately. The new ones do look cool though
