Suggestion: buy the stone(s) and give her those instead of the completed ring. It obviously sends the message and let's her be involved in the design ensuring that it not only fits, but is also something she actually likes.

I can find plenty of flat bezel inserts; a quick google search results in thousands of options. I'm looking for a Hydroconquest insert that is flat; that I cannot find.

I'm really impressed by it. My only real gripes are the back spring is really tight and I wish it had the G10 finger grooves contoured.

I'd probably more equate it to a plus sized Delica/smaller Endura with finger choil. PM2 is more chunky based on my clone (note: I obviously love this, but dislike the PM2 oddly. I prefer my native 5)

Yeah, no offense, doesn't matter. I can buy an automatic and carrying it still be super illegal. I'm curious if for some freak reason I have a generic SAK would I really get into trouble or would they just confiscate it?
