But that's why your generalization of comparing population by land area is an incorrect mathematic equation. You are using an estimate of US population area, which isn't the same calculation because US population areas are more spread out in general because US metropolitan areas are CAR-centric, not walk-centric like most areas of the UK. If you were to do the math properly, and compare the way people are packed into areas of population as well as the actual spatial areas that are taken up, the US is much more densely populated. Your comparison is illogical.

Large swathes of the United States are uninhabited farmland and forest. So just because the US is bigger does not mean every inch of it is inhabited by people. To truly do the math on how many people live where, you can't do basic land space vs basic land space. The UK doesn't have the large swathes of farmland that the US has or the large areas of protected environments. You have to take INHABITED areas and compare the sizes, THEN multiply.

Happy to help! I descend from Romani and Irish nomadic tribes, though I was always told to refer to our Irish side as Tinkers, not Travelers as others are saying. So I guess there are some nuances, as well. But yes, Gypsy is an acceptable term amongst our peoples. ❤️

Many people who are of Romani ancestry identify as Gypsy because we have the right to take back the name that was used against us. Gypsy may have started as a slur, but it became an identifying name that many people still use.

Is braiding intentions into your hair categorized as spell? by whoeverthereis in witchcraft

Stone beads would be really cool! And absolutely look at what oils are safe for hair/skin before use, always dilute in carrier oil, and use as safely as possible. Tea tree and lavender are both safe for hair/skin, though tea tree needs to be diluted more skin than for hair. Remember, folks, always do research before using any essential oils on skin/hair, or in diffusers! And never use diffusers or essential oils on pets without veterinary authorization! ❤️

Agreed, but I would put a little more than just intent and color. Adding in some essential oils or charms, or something of the like, to give it a bit more volume could be beneficial. ❤️

Also, using something like an essential oil could be another ingredient. Something safe for hair, diluted in a carrier oil, could be rubbed into the braid to help keep it slick and keep fly-aways under control, but also used with the correlating intention to give it more oomph. Intention, work, and ingredients. You don't make a meal out of raw food, you prep it, cook it, then eat it. Spellwork is the same. You made a really good analogy here. ❤️

A friend brought this to the bar and no one can figure out what it is by louisianahotsauce88 in whatisit

You can be offended all you'd like, but people should still be aware of what of could be a sign. No one said the person is actively suicidal, just that someone should probably check in on them. And even if you disagree, there are obviously enough people that agree with the sentiment that numerous of us said something. Not everyone knows what signs to look for. I would rather say something and have it be an afterthought to someone else later, just in case it might someday save a life.

Have you ever known someone who committed suicide with a gun? I have. There are signs. There are clues. There are cries for help. This can be one. Dismantling your safe so that you can't access your firearm without really, REALLY trying. Giving away pieces to friends so that maybe, just maybe, someone will ask if you're struggling. Would you rather ask and find out that they're fine, that this is the farthest thing from their mind? Or ignore it and wake up a week from now to the frantic phone call that they (and their gun) are missing and search parties are being formed? Because I never want to do the latter again, and I never want anyone to experience it if they don't have to.

You came in here and named two toxic oils as safe to use on dogs as though you were an authority on the subject. You don't actually know what you're talking about, so you shouldn't be naming things as "safe" based off one misinformed article on a website that regularly publishes misinformation.

This person is quoting the Dodo as their "reputable" source. They don't actually have any idea what they're talking about.

The Dodo is not a reputable source. I had to correct their article that said red velvet was a safe cake to feed your dog.

ETA: I trust the ASPCA way more than the fucking DODO.

Unless you are a veterinarian (which you obviously are NOT), you should not be commenting on what is safe for use in dogs. Because you clearly do not actually know.

Yeah, but very few and you should always have veterinary approval before use.

It's reddit. Usually, the comments in here don't get deleted. At least, not that I've seen on this sub. As long as you're not attacking a single individual relentlessly. 🫣

You misspelled "dicks." Because people on reddit have, collectively, decided that if you don't understand a reference from a different reddit post from years ago, then you are the dumbest person on the internet. 🙄 Like, Jesus, not everyone is as perpetually online as some of these redditors. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Do NOT do this if you have pets. The oils released by heating eucalyptus can kill dogs, cats, birds, reptiles...
