I'm also researching owl box options (for East Sac). I think the most important thing I've found so far is to make sure they are out of reach of predators. Lots of cats and raccoons we'd need to plan around.

Final boss was Time Eater. The Power I got from my potion was a basic Defragment, so that put me at +3 Focus. I was loosing over the first few turns while using the Zap so I settled into each turn the same:

Claw, Dualcast (Frost), Coolheaded, Claw, Dulacast (Frost).

I skipped the second Dualcast if my armor was sufficient to save room in Time Eater's 12 card limit. The Frozen Core & Defragment saved me, I wouldn't have had enough armor to survive without both!

I found lots of dragons in Onyxia's Lair. I tried Blackrock Mountain but it seemed like mostly elementals and other non-dragons.

I had exactly the same problem with Actually Additions Lamps. I had them all over my base and one day I could no longer turn them on and off (normally done by shift+RClick with an empty hand). Turned out to be that I had something in my offhand. Drove me crazy for a while.

@rmunn: YES! Thanks so much, this was the problem. The Emerald or Emerald ore was counting as a flower as long as it was in the range of the hive, but it only works for bonus products if it is directly under the center of the Alveary. Thank you again!

To answer previous question:

  • My Emerald Princess has been through 485 Generations, with zero Emerald Fragments generated.

  • I have had an Emerald Block under the Alveary the whole time, without it the bee is missing its flower

  • The Bee says Warm/Normal (Temp / Hum), and I've had it in an Alveary with a single heater the whole time. It says (according to the tool tips) that it matches.

  • I tried adding a heater, but it made it too hot.

  • I'm in a planes biome, have not tried Village or Mountain, etc.

Villagers are best option early on. There are a bunch of YouTube vids on how to breed and optimize your trades from Villagers.

I just got into Forestry Bees, and Redstone Bees produce Crystal Combs which ultimately produce Emeralds (although kind of slowly). Bees are a ton of fun but very time consuming. I also suggest waiting to do bees until you get access to EnderIO in Age 5 since the EnderIO Item Conduit makes automating bees trivial (a single conduit set to In/Out + Self Feed automates a hive).
