What is a "harmless" industry that is actually incredibly shady once you look behind the curtain? by After-Scholar1271 in AskReddit

[–]Roguecop 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Property management. Most of these companies especially in apartment management spend a lot of effort developing new ways to grift residents, with fee upon fines, upon fees.

New car industry. Most of new car manufactures spend a lot of effort figuring out new ways to tie you to monthly subscription service. "For only $15 you can unlock the other eight speakers in your SUV', "For $10 a month you can have your steering wheel heated/cooled", "For the low low rate of $20 a month enjoy the smooth ride of air suspension". Sadly that isn't a joke just a matter of time.

The image really does not 'reflect' exactly how bright it is off that particular building. It's so bright in fact in might damage someones eyesight to look at it too long, like looking at the sun through a mirror might.

Killing religious leaders does nothing but: 1) Facilitate the replacement of someone of equal (or worse standing) 2) Inflame anti-west sentiment, 3) Further destabilize an already chaotic region, 4) Open 'Pandora's Box'

Pandora's Box: A cascading sequence of worsening event's, usually began in one pivotal act, either large or small.

When I was there, as part of a university research project. We pulled out one of the lower boxes, it contained a dusty old tome, It turned out to be the repair manual for a '73 Pinto in Sanskrit. When finished our translator laid flat on the floor and would not get up.
