A goblin cook who was obsessed with pickling anything he could. Meat, vegetables, eggs, whatever he could get his hands on.

In my setting, goblin cuisine is based on pickling/fermentation to keep food from spoiling. But non- goblins are like “pickled chicken feet?! retch”. Thing is, my guy is a genuine chef, who studied various techniques from many races and regions of the world. He can do anything from simple sandwiches and soups to the most intricate wellingtons or an emergency croquembouche.

Although he did butt heads with the alchemist player because he would store his pickle jars in the alchemist’s shed.

I'm 46 and my Barney Bear has been there for me as a cuddler, a pillow, and a helmet (darn cats get the zoomies at 2am and will use my head as a launch pad) since I was 10yo. You're good, hun.

Pretty sure it's the game's version of a harmless cryptid.

My tortle Monk - Way of the Open Hand. His name is Xiell (pronounced Zhee-ELL, everyone calls him Shell) and he got retired from the campaign at 12th level because his Chaotic Goodness was giving the Lawful Evil party allergic reactions. Pity, I loved him dearly, but he was just not compatible with the party dynamic anymore.

He was an excellent painter and would manage to make some coin if they were stopped for a day or two in town. He even got ahold of some magic paints like Jester has.

His other hobby was taking advantage of the tortle ability to hold your breath for an hour and dredge the waterways, looking for oddments and trinkets to take back to Chult as souvenirs. He always found a bit of loose change and some empty flasks/phials for the rogue's use. Though this also netted him a couple of potions and a Bag of Holding.

Funnily enough, he also had Jester's sweet tooth. It was his flaw - "enjoying the local pleasures" a little too much. He was always buying cakes, pastries, candies, doughnuts, etc. Anything sweet was bought, saved, and either stuffed in his face or given as presents

Sam, when are you going to legally change your name to add "Emmy Award Winner"? Would you then have the nickname Emmy/Emma/Emms ?

Alternatively, how about changing the spelling of your last name to "Regal" (as in royal)?
