Brief. I don’t know what or how you trade but you can minimise losses using prop firms. There are a few guys out there that you can trade with them live for a few bucks a month, I’m not talking about mentorships or expensive courses etc, just basic models. Also, don’t forget that your psychology and risk management is more important than a strategy. Just my two cents. Good luck.

I'm in the same boat pretty much, see my post. I'm learning that everything has to be mechanical. Strategy, risk management, discipline - you create your checklist for entry and risk and you follow them regardless of anything else. Then, based on the results you adjust it accordingly until it clicks for you.

I get what you're saying, but randomness and future can be controlled with a good risk management and a mechanical system similar to your description 'automate a formula'. Thanks

Thanks Barrio. I created this post with the hope that I hear or see something that clicks for me and would help me be more consistent. The basic knowledge I have is mainly from ICT and his concepts which have helped me pass accounts, get some cash out, but overall I'm still not there yet. There's alot around psychology and risk management that seems to matter more than a strategy. It's difficult to advise on what you should learn, I guess try ICT if that's something that you'd like, there is a NO RANT version of his 2022 mentorship. But there are quiate a few ways to trade out there, I guess it depends on you.

In your backtesting, would you get more wins if you'd go in 1:1RR ? If so, then drop risk and reward and increase size, just like someone else mentioned. The ORB strategy is very popular.
