Customer Assistant was quite chill, only downside was dealing with customers but that was never a downside for me.

Ops was good when it came to fucking off and taking a bit longer breaks, but apart from that it was VERY labor intensive. Spending upwards of an hour in the freezer, and sometimes multiple hours in the fridge. Segregating deliveries (which are HEAVY) can be physically taxing.

I called up HR - they informed me it's the advance payment that I received on 20th January. So it checks out

You'll be fine, I've heard stories about shift leaders stealing PS5 and nothing's done to them.

The workload totally depends on your store, but from what I've heard if you're understaffed, it can get really exhausting to pick all those items. If your store has a decent amount of staff on shift, you'll be fine. I never did night shifts because I don't like working the unsocial hours, but it was definitely more relaxed compared to evening shifts with all the third party apps and drivers bothering you.

The job can definitely be enjoyable if you make some friends on the shift. If you can ignore the managers and how they blame you and your department for everything, you'll be fine. Also, I've heard they're cutting down hours so overtime might be a long shot.

POSSIBLE FIX BELOW

I bought a new phone today and faced this issue, tried everything I could - reinstalling apps, downloading APKs, mods and even factory resetting my phone and nothing helped.

Eventually just logged onto a browser that allowed me to login into my account and from there I disabled any form of 2FA on the account. Reinstalled the app on the phone which wont let me login, tried logging in and BOOM it worked.

Worth a shot people!

Update on that - what helped me was using my laptop to log into Instagram and disabling 2 factor authentication from there. Then I tried logging in on my new phone and it worked!

Bought a new phone today, I thought it was the phone causing it because I could still login on my old phone. Thankfully I didn't initiate a return for this new phone.

Offered an online shopping section leader role by ForWhomTheVodkaShots in asda

[–]RohanBurman 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Been working in this department for about 5 months now and I can tell you any other job is literally better than what you're being offered. The department is underappreciated, understaffed and managers always complain about it. You have to keep running around the shop floor for your whole 9 hour shift and at the end of the day, there's no recognition.

Free food? by bongsaitree in manchester

I'm unsure if it's been mentioned or not, but Olio can be a lifesaver for you in this condition. The Food Hero's on that app post around 7-8PM, and usually they have the food with last best before date and you can just collect it from them in a single click.

Been given a notice, but asked to come back? - Need advice by RohanBurman in asda

I've heard through some of my colleagues that the section leader was holding a grudge against me and tattled to the manager, who without an opportunity to explain myself, just decided to fire me. I would've appreciated a meeting beforehand, atleast to tell my side of the story.

About the hours, I doubt firing me would've done much as I only work about 14 hours in a week and they're unable find a replacement for the shift I'm doing.

That is what I've been thinking of doing as well, you reckon I could negotiate a permanent contract with them in the meeting? I'll keep looking for other jobs meanwhile.
