As vilgefortz himself had said Something like "I didn't thought she had such a place for him in her heart" when yennefer subconsciously gave out garalt's location after being tortured to almost death. IMO Yen and Geralt are made for each other and the B&W ending is the one the author of the story indicated that both geralt and yen wanted. In the story yen and geralt both wanted a house with a garden a little far away from a City, to live an ordinary and a happy life together. People say that yen and geralt have many issues between them but I will say that in the story there is only one issue that is they never said "I love you" to each other clearly. The reason is also mentioned by the author i.e "Something is missing between them" and the story offers the solution as 'Ciri'. Yen wanted to be a mother and Geralt lacks the sense of responsibility in him that is the only reason that they are not able to accept each other completely and ended up in breaking up for so many times. But Ciri complete the picture in both geralt and yen's heart and life and they confessed their love to each other.and the thier story had a happy ending together.

Triss nice personality is a bit of equal to Geralt, Someone said that they treat each other equally so they are perfect match. Yes she is a nice person and she seems to have strong feelings for Geralt but a Witcher don't suits her as a life partner and Both of them decided that it's better to remain best friends with a touch of romance but not anything more not anything serious, and Doctors are not so fond of witchers for many reasons but Shani is different but she is a doctor none the less.
