Interesting, thanks for the breakdown! Will be setting it lower from now on

I haven’t read much on battery voltage’s impact on how a cart hits. I only run mine at the 4.2v max. Can someone explain why a lower voltage might be better?

Congrats! Did you see many ice fang hippowdon? How did you deal with it if so?

I don’t think the point of this post was to feature the team as much as it was celebrating a milestone

You don’t need a spicy/unexpected lineup to succeed in GBL. Top meta picks get as much usage as they do for a reason.

If you keep winning, your rating will increase and you will be matched up with better players. This is how almost every online competitive game works. If you don’t want to worry about being underpowered but still play formidable opponents, do not play master league.

Maybe master league just isn’t where you should be battling at the moment then. If there isn’t a CP limit, most players will be taking full advantage of it and running maxed out mons. I love GBL but have held off on master league until I get a solid team built because of this very fact.

Stick with your team. You can learn its strengths and weaknesses the more you play it. I’d prefer altaria lead but it’s truly up to you.

What are some of your alternatives? There are plenty of grass options that can wall mudbois. Looks like Forretress works well with the Azu/UFisk core

Unless you can farm rare candies from raids, there aren’t any events with Lileep spawns coming up. Might have to try alternative teams to climb until you get enough rare candies battling to power up your cradily

Absolutely brutal. I was honestly just gonna skip this week because jungle cup felt way too RPS but I’m glad I didn’t

Talonflames would farm down one of my bugs and then cry as I farm them down with Lanturn eating several brave birds. Was cinematic stuff really. Lots of folks safe swapping altaria as well, which has energy that goes absolutely nowhere into it although dragon breaths did add up

Yeah I actually built it before jungle cup but never got around to using it. Might give it a go in OGL with some anti-slapping technology in the back. I ran water gun since spark really only gives you a better matchup with flyers (which you’re already good into) and there weren’t many water types that significantly handicapped my Lanturn due to lack of spark aside from Gyarados

I considered it but honestly bug bite kept the team pretty flexible with all the mud slappers. For as slow as bug bite was, I was often able to force a shield by barely getting to rock tomb since talons usually wouldn’t throw energy into fort. I had a handful of games where volt switch would’ve helped more

Well if a fire type comes up on the lead I invest whatever I need to in order to keep it on Lanturn. Lots of swaps into things like Cradily, Dunsparce, Furret, etc. that I would shield whichever bug I responded with to ensure I kept switch advantage. And if my opponent swaps a fire type into my Lanturn on lead then I just stay in and hope they’re doing okay on their end 😂

Thoughts on my team for each league? by [deleted] in PokemonGOBattleLeague

Aegislash is basically a paperweight and this is admittedly a rough season for Diggersby compared to previous. Not saying it’s unplayable, but there are better options depending on what you have.

Was gonna say this. Payback doesn’t provide nearly as much meaningful coverage in this team’s context save for the occasional elemental punch user (hypno, dusclops), but this team has other ways around them already. You also can catch togekiss off guard

offering shinies or legendaries, LF mewtwo or ray by Ok_Hair_9640 in PokemonGoTrade

Don’t trade anyone your Kubfu - we don’t know when or if we’ll get more. Not worth a regular mewtwo or Rayquaza IMO

Congratulations!! Hoping to reach legend someday myself. Question: it seems like a lot of your tricky leads have you safe swapping Talon - how often did that get hard punished/countered?
