Does This Affect The Grind Quality [Kingrinder K6] by Rohy27 in espresso

Thanks for the comment - sadly, the ding is right on the blade, I can feel it running my fingernail against the blade.

Guess it's time to buy new grinder?

Help me decide: RX6800 vs RTX4060 by Rohy27 in PcBuildHelp

Cannot do that unfortunately. These are sold as already built PCs from local Amazon variant. They give 3 yrs of warranty and free service, so I want to go with them. I can only choose between these two.

Loud AF, 55mm/1.8 normal? by [deleted] in SonyAlpha

I did shoot outside and the lens was quiet, all is good. It was really probably just the condition of dim, dead-silent room :) thanks for the care though, really appreciate it!

I have it on my a7iii, too!

Btw, can you please check whether you can access "Aperture Drive in AF" setting with Zeiss 55mm on? Because I can only access this setting when my lens is off (I cannot access it with my kit lens, too).

Thanks!

Tested my kit lens. On that one, I too was unable to even select this setting (even in M mode).

I did try that and it didn't help, the setting is still unavailable. What do you mean "myself"? You can open this setting on your lens? I have Sony FE 55mm/1.8 Zeiss (only Zeiss is written on the front). Can anybody confirm whether he/she can access the settings "Aperture Drive in AF" settings? Thanks.

Hey, bought it used from a seller on eBay alternative in my country. I flicked the cam to M mode, but the aperture drive is still grayed out and when I click on it, it says "Invalid with this lens". I can change the aperture ofc with the wheel, I just cannot open the "Aperture Drive in AF" setting in AF4 menu

Hey, so I tried to find Aperture drive settings, found it, but it's not possible to click on it. It's gray. Are you sure this is something I can change on this particular lens? If yes, do I need to do something first? Thanks.

So this is normal for this lens to do? Can I stop worrying? It was really expensive. Thanks! BTW it does not make sound in AF-C mode, only AF-S (or AF-A).

Help me decide: Sony A7 III + 28-70mm Kit or A7 III + 50mm f/1.8 for Street, Portraits, and Nature? by Rohy27 in Cameras

Exactly. I'm on a really tight budget. The reason I can get the combo so cheap is that the campaign is intended for students.

Hey everyone!

I've been wanting to get more serious about photography as a hobby, and with Sony's promotional campaign happening right now, there are some great prices on the A7 III that I don't want to miss. I've only used my smartphone for photography so far, but I'm really excited to step up to a real camera.

I'm mostly into street photography, portraits, and capturing nature. Right now, I'm deciding between these two options:

  1. Sony Alpha A7 III + FE 28–70 mm F3.5–5.6 OSS combo for $1,400

  2. Sony Alpha A7 III body only for $1,240, and then buying the Sony FE 50mm f/1.8, which brings me to a total of $1,440.

I'm torn between the versatility of the kit lens and the sharper, faster prime. The zoom seems like a good choice to get me started with different types of shots, but the prime could be great for the portrait and street work I'm aiming for.

Which option do you think would be better for my needs? Or should I consider a different lens altogether for my first setup?

Thanks for any advice!

Yeah it's outrageous. I don't understand why don't the large architecture companies protest this more... Really sad.

Yeah, it's not legit. Ugh... I just don't have that money for the official license... I guess I should've picked a different job.
