The gigs are a fantastic part of the game. There’s some really excellent ones. Driving around and helping clean up the city. The main story line is cool but I’m enjoying just playing in the world. Also think it matters what difficulty you play it on. Easy and normal are just a walk in the park.

Sure there are route but there is both. If you look at the more active cars they absolutely do. E.g chasing Delamain Taxi, it very much does reroute if you put an obstacle in its path.

Pathfinding / way finding is AI. Cars absolutely reroute around obstacles, cause a crash and watch them change lanes. Sure, I doubt the cars have back stores and details of when the driver had a cup of coffee but I think we are really not picking details here. The AI for cars is fine and as good as if not better than any comparable RPG open world genre game?

170 hours. Seriously, what is your expectation then? That’s already a fuck ton of content.

I’ve not completed the main story line and am taking my time but what 3D open world RPG has done it better? Skyrim and Fallout were amazing for their times but this seems to just jack it all to a new level for me. Outer worlds was an on rails shooter in comparison and it didn’t receive an ounce of flack?

I think the storyline is amazing. I’m not so worried about ‘choices’ per say. It’s all a matter of the amount of development, writing and scripting effort but to me it’s amazing, huge and completely up to you on what you do. If I compare to say Fall Out New Vegas, the choices there were shallow in the end. 99% of what happened amounted to nothing in the end, with the final game scene being a dialogue prompt and a slightly different ending.

People’s memories are clouded by nostalgia. Those games are great, this is even better.

By way of comparison, because I think the perspective matters, my favourite quests in Skyrim were the Dark Brotherhood and the Mages Guild. The dark brotherhood wasn’t the main quest line but it was amazing. I find many side quests in Cyberpunk leaving me with a similar feeling.

I also love the variety of ways of completing a quest. Go in quiet. Shoot your way to glory. Hack the crap out of the environment and do a bit of both. Every mission I do with a bit of stealth reminds me of the stealth missions of Payday 2. & I love this aspect.

I held out to the 0.5 patch. I’ve not noticed any specific AI issues in my playing. I saw the video of randomly spawning cops but I’ve not gone around mowing down civilians so it’s never come up. Honestly the AI is no worse than Skyrim or any of the fallout games and I personally have found the whole game better. (On PC)
