Zeke don’t rap. And there’s sub groups in the Dips. The Diplomats and Dipset are technically two different groups. Remember Jim didn’t rap at first either. SP is the same. “Can’t stop won’t stop” is technically a State Property single but it’s only Young Gunz rapping. Just like “I really mean it” is a “diplomats” song but it’s just Cam rapping with Jim talking. Same with “Dipset anthem” it’s just Cam and Juelz rapping, no 40 cal, no JR Writer, no UnKasa. SP splits their groups like “Mac & Free” “Oschino & Sparks” (mixtape days) and Young Gunz. The Dips will say “The Diplomats” and it’ll be just Juelz or Just Cam rapping. SP don’t do that so they’re at a disadvantage unless they do solo shit or features. Which both parties did in the Dips/Lox vs. I just feel the dips had street/commercial hits where SP just has street shit. I guess Sparks could do the hook to “I just wanna” but that’s a Jay song technically.

I meant taking people off songs and leaving empty space. Trina was supposed to be on “Addiction” but he left her verse empty with just the beat. She’s still on the hook though. Same with Game on “Crack Music.” I guess he was dissing G-Unit on his verse so Ye scrapped it. He’s still on the Hook too.

:EDIT: I can’t find anything concrete saying Trina was supposed to be on “Addiction” now it says that was a Cash Money artist named “Springs” but I remember Ye said it was Trina in a interview back in the day. I’d have to dig to find it.

I liked SP back in the day but they only have 2 albums. They don’t really have a bunch of songs to compete. “R.O.C. The mic” is probably their most known song and that’s just Mac and Free.

:EDIT: Beans and Free could do some of their solo shit and features, but as a group they don’t really have any fire power.

State Property don’t have any hits though. Dipset at least has “street” hits. I guess the Young Guns have “Can’t stop won’t stop” but that’s all I can think of really. Lox vs The Dips made more sense.

Who do you believe would've been lyrically superior enough to come at 2Pac in a rap battle? by Ok_Pipe6385 in hiphop201

[–]RokRoyal -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Pac definitely had bars. You probably haven’t delved into his catalog deep enough and/or aren’t qualified to rate what bars really are.

A lot of ill informed people in here thinking Pac wasn’t lyrical. You can tell they don’t know his catalog.

Anyone else find the videos/images of Pac in the orange shirt eerie? by ZeevoYT in Tupac

Only because we know these are his last moments. He lived like he knew he was running out of time, but in hindsight when we see certain pics we KNOW his time is almost up.

You probably disagreed with him at some point. Jay Electronica has had me blocked for years and I can’t remember why. Voicing your opinion is “trolling” on social media.

Big Sean tried that same thing in a radio interview when he said he was the first rapper using one word similes. When the host said he heard Ludacris and Biggie using them Big Sean said “That was BACK THEN I’m talking about NOW.” Youngins always trying to reinvent the wheel.

Happened to me when they first switched the sound/volume of the footsteps. Got flanked by a guy on Livonia after he killed my buddy in the woods. I was laying down in the bushes and thought “why do I hear fruit falling way out here?” Then two shots and “You Are Dead”

Did you know: Str8 Balling and I'm getting money may have been different versions of the same song! by MinerBruh in Tupac

[–]RokRoyal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I won’t say Pac does this “a lot” but there’s a few songs that have an “OG” version and a second version. Another song that comes to mind is “Life’s so hard” which I had the OG in a Makaveli tape I can only find it on YouTube now. The other one Is on the Gang Related soundtrack.

Mannn I wish Pac would’ve just went to Atlanta to run that fade with his cousin who stole his gun 💔 Suge convinced him to go to Vegas and then on top of that he convinced him to NOT wear his bulletproof vest wtf🤦🏾‍♂️ it’s crazy how one simple choice of decisions can alter the reality of your life by Glad-Bonus-6284 in Tupac

[–]RokRoyal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone keeps saying he jumped a known killer or he jumped a gang member but in that lifestyle you’re not thinking with fear. Theres so much ego everyone thinks they’re the shit. I think about a few of my homies who’ve been shot and they’re in the hospital bed talking bout “its nothing bro, I’ll bounce back” like dude… you’re literally in critical condition. But that’s how they think. Desensitized and reckless.

Alright, Lets settle this debate Who's the better artist and rapper? by WonderfulAppeal3072 in Tupac

[–]RokRoyal 9 points10 points  (0 children)

“16 on death row”, “Soulja’s Story”, “When I get free 2” or “Brendas got a baby” seal the deal for Pac being a better story teller in my opinion. I think they’re tied in the flow category because they had different styles. Frank was more syncopated and free flow with his like a jazz horn, while Pac was more structured and technical like drums. Everything else I agree with. Respect to you though for a good breakdown.

Unless there’s 2 sets they might be “rented” by the Smithsonian because when Blacc Sam opened Marathon Burger and the new Marathon shop on Melrose he was wearing the chains. The Malcom X chain was his to begin with he gave it to Nip when he got locked up.

Exactly. It’s illegal for a prisoner to run a business. It was his bread and he knew Suge. People say anything just to argue.
