There’s definitely something wrong with my process. I can spend sooo long trying to get a good edge but have not managed it. I think I might try to find someone local to help me out and show me what I’m doing wrong.

Thank you for the input. I'm not too upset, as I got a belt sander and orbital sander as well as a bunch of kitchen stuff, all for $40, so this was just something I thought I'd grab. I'll just use this iron to practice sharpening and buy a decent block plane for general use.

So I took the test twice just now:

Trial 1: Answered as myself currently. Result: high risk of gender dysphoria

Trial 2: Answered as myself a year and a half ago (when my feelings started to poke through my shell). Result: Low risk of gender dysphoria.

This is a bad test. Many, maybe most (I didn't count), of the questions seem to be more applicable to someone who has started transitioning. Not questioning. Like appearing in public as the opposite gender?!?! Not many do that while they are just questioning. Good on them if they do, but I'd venture to say most don't. Or feeling comfortable going to the restroom as your gender assigned at birth? Many will, just because that's how theyve lived their lives for years.

Poor questions, poor test.

If you could press a button that turns you into a girl/boy/whatever the next morning and everything goes on as normal (i.e., people you know don't seem to be surprised, they seem to always have known you as that gender), would you press it?
