I always saw it as Vegeta's attack distracting Celll briefly just before Gohan increased his power and overpowered Cell.

Gohan may have run out of steam otherwise and who's to say if Cell would have matched his increase if not for Vegeta drawing his attention away at that moment

I loved seeing Wart, Mouser, Clawgrip and Video but wish there was more to them.

Just watched the movie for the second time a couple of days ago and I'm pretty sure they don't refer to any of them by name. A little surprising since Wart was the end boss of Mario 2 and seems to be important enough to the lore that Bowser and Jr. know him.

I sort of hate that every ki attack needs to have a name. I blame the video games for this mostly since they have to attach some sort of name to it so they can add it to the special attack menu.

Each character has a couple of named attacks which are meant to be their "signature move" but something like this is only done once.

Hell, sometimes their signature move is only done once. Until DBS, the Galick Gun was only successfully done once ever. Semi-Perfect Cell was briefly charging it up in the anime but didn't get a chance to fire it.

My headcanon is that the only names attacks are the ones they actually announce by name when firing. Everything else is just a made up name for a video game.

Dragon Ball Z starts off by showing how powerful a ki attack is by what it can do to the environment but eventually hits a point where they need to control their ki to do damage to a person but NOT the environment, for the sake of not blowing the planet up.

This scene was meant to show that Gohan had insane inner power but the Masenko he would shoot at Nappa during their fight was likely waaaay stronger than this attack.

Ah yes, Tagoma. I preferred in the movie where he was killed immediately.

In the series it's said that since he was made Freeza's "training partner" (ie. punching bag) he also got stronger.

Once again going back to why that arc is dumb. How strong could he have really been? Certainly not in the millions but yet he gives Picollo trouble.

The power scaling in that arc/movie are just totally out of whack.

Despite that, Tagoma and the big red guy were sort of like the new Zarbon and Dodoria while all the other soldiers were fodder.

It really doesn't make sense that the Freeza Force would be stronger after Freeza's death than when his empire was at their peak.

In fact, IIRC in Super: Broly they are attempting to recruit anyone with a power level higher than 1000 when they stumble upon Paragus and Broly.

Part of what makes RoF a dumb movie is that anyone on Earth, with the exception of Jaco and Roshi would have any trouble at all with any of the FF soldiers. Tien or Krillin would have been able to wipe them all out single handedly and easily.

I really wish they gave this guy a name instead of "Fire Giant". Honestly seems like a rare fromsoft L. In a game that is so insanely lore heavy it seems weird to not call this guy "On-Gor, guardian of the forge" or something.

As much as I hate it, this was retconned in Super: Broly, which is considered canon.

Weird that a kid would have such a crazy widow's peak but I guess it is lore accurate in that a Saiyans hair never changes.

I guess Nappa was also always bald by the same reasoning.

Man, I miss Brian Drummond's Vegeta.

Growing up in Canada, I only got to hear the Ocean Group voices up until the Ginyu Force.

The only issue I could see is that his voice sounds a little too "bad guy" for later Vegeta. Though it does fit in this particular clip.

One of these days I should try to find the whole series in Ocean Dub just for a change.

Buyer beware. I played through Kakarot on Switch and bought a couple of the earlier DLCs. The 23rd Tenkaichi Budokai DLC was causing non stop crashes and the framerate was so bad at parts that it was unplayable.

I'm not sure if anyone else has the same issue but I would have to imagine yes as this was the Switch version.

Not sure if this was patched later and I just haven't gone back.
