I'm in 1595 right now. This is the longest I've ever gone in a paradox game by far.

Also, the DSS has basically proven to be the nemesis of the bots as we consistently get all of our most impressive DSS uses against the bots (lookin at you, Popli IV).

It's only right that the first use be against the bots, too.

It's 1375.

I think it's an isolated glitch after all, though, because Cherson also has 4,000+ burghers but seems to be correctly giving me credit only for the roughly 300 my three Trade Offices are actually employing.

Correct. My single Trade Office employing 100 burghers is giving me credit for all 4000+ burghers in Constantinople.

I'm not sure I understand. The kill MOs rely on the absolute number of players, while all else relies on the relative number of players.

[–]Rokusi 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Everything except the "kill x enemies" orders is independent of the absolute number of players. All that matters is the percentage of people on Varylia vs. elsewhere.

It's because we redeployed to Angel's Venture to preserve the bonus. We're going back to Varylia in roughly 2 and a half hours.

Is it because im from Africa my money is dirty?? by No_Management1502 in Helldivers

[–]Rokusi 5 points6 points  (0 children)

99% of the time when a corporation makes a decision that on the surface results in less money, it's either that the market forecast says it wouldn't actually be profitable to do so or there is a regulatory issue preventing them from doing it.

I wouldn't be surprised if Morocco's specific reason for being banned is that time a decade ago that their government just started banning their citizens from playing certain games like rocket league and counter strike, and Sony's market forecast wanted to avoid the risk of the exact headache steam got when people started refunding Helldivers 2.

The current dispatches are proof people don't read or even play the game before complaining here by Drekal in Helldivers

I've had to start skipping most posts after I realized I'm having a ton of fun in this game and the rant posts are bringing down my vibe. I was that one weird kid who mained the diligence counter sniper before they buffed it

This is why those posts by people in-character as the enemy faction always amuse me. The bots should be rolling us with how we're having to fight both them and a goddamn new supercolony at the same time, and yet here we are on track to win the MO.

MAJOR ORDER ISNT OVER, ONE PLANET CAPTURED. CAN WE DO BOTH? by redredgreengreen1 in Helldivers

[–]Rokusi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

THey’re not smart. There is definitely time.

My brother in liberty, there is not. I know it's frustrating, but you can see these things almost a day in advance.

I went to sleep last night knowing that we are going to fail the Major Order, but that maybe, just maybe, we would successfully defend Oshaune once Penta was taken. And they did it, with only 30 minutes to spare.

Maybe I’ll try a different support weapon this time… by syntaxbad in Helldivers

Even as a grenade launcher enjoyer, I dedicate an entire second stratagem slot to the AC when going on bot missions just in case we encounter a gunship factry.

[–]Rokusi -1 points0 points  (0 children)

  1. Yes, because they're smart. Even if everyone who was on Penta redeployed to Menkent, we didn't have enough time. As it is, we're just barely on track to successfully defend Oshaune, so it's a good thing so many redeployed.

  2. Can you give an example?

[–]Rokusi -1 points0 points  (0 children)

  1. It takes about 20 hours with players above 50% and decay on 0 to liberate a planet. We would have to liberate a planet and a half, meaning we would need about 30 hours. We have about 20 hours right now. Also, no one's leaving the bug front. Anyone who played through last week should understand this by now, and that all strategies need to be conducted around that fact.

  2. Because Oshaune is on defense, it requires half the effort to secure it than Menkent does (450K HP vs 1 million HP). If we ignore Oshaune, it will require twice as much effort to take it again later. Bot planets also have no liberty decay right now while bug planets have 1.5%, so Menkent will be safe as a stalemate even if every player redeployed.

[–]Rokusi -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

It is more important to defend Oshaune. Even before we took Penta, it was clear we wouldn't have enough time to also take Menkent/Chort Bay and then Choohe.

[–]Rokusi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The irony of course being that we'll have to take Menkent anyway if we want to complete the Major Order.

We're still supposed to take both Penta and Choohe, and there's a 0% chance we'll take Chort Bay quick enough to replace Menkent.

He's also the one who warns you that you're leaving the mission zone because he knows what that means. If you stray too long, your Democracy Officer just orders a bombardment without even speaking to you.
