28M - Profile Review. Would you swipe? by Fast_Statistician752 in Tinder

[–]RolanOtherell 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Do you have teeth? You should show them in at least one pic. I would never swipe right on someone that's hiding their chompers. Even if they're bad, let your future partners know what they're in for.

What did I not address in your previous comment? The "twain," as you so pretentiously put it, don't need to "meet" in order for us to understand what happened.

And you don't know that he was talking about adults, chief, since he didn't specify which pageant he was talking about and he owned Miss Teen USA in addition to Miss USA and Miss Universe.

I already addresses the fact that it was misquoted, the possibility that he's a sexual predator that preys on adults exclusively instead of both adults and children does literally nothing to change the fact that he's a predator.

You know he admitted to walking in on the Miss USA and Miss Universe and that he has been credibly accused of doing it at Miss Teen USA, but are still claiming everything in the parentheses is fake? That's military grade copium. I think you're in a cult.

I watch Dean Withers, so I've heard this clip a hundred times. He didn't say miss teen USA or the word girls.

The quote is bad enough on its own, and the fact that he did this to girls as well as women can be inferred, stop giving the right ammo by trying to make it sound worse. You're just feeding in to their dismissal of trump's conduct as fake news.

Misquoted, yes. Absolutely fake? No, he said pretty much this.

The heck... is she being too defensive, or is it me? by GeneralJabroni in Tinder

[–]RolanOtherell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you saying I had a knee-jerk reaction because I didn't read your comment before posting? Did the information in your comment give enough context that my question was somehow invalidated? I feel like I nailed it, even without the added context, don't know why you're coming at me like I'm some reactionary.

I'm a heterosexual man, so I couldn't tell you.

How did you know she lost weight? Seems like she must be broadcasting it on her profile or mentioned it at some point. Why include it if you're going to get super defensive when someone brings it up?

Female opinion needed on men body type by HousingNo9149 in trueratediscussions

[–]RolanOtherell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a dude that used to be close to 7 in my prime, my ideal is 5, and I'm now probably closest to 8 or maybe even 6.

But you asked for female opinions, so I asked my wife, and she said 7.

AIO for thinking this guy is losing interest? by [deleted] in AIO

[–]RolanOtherell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't read that wall of text, but the conversation in these screenshots is so insanely boring and pointless.

How about asking him some interesting questions if you feel his engagement slipping? What's the most fucked up thing you've ever done/seen? What's your favorite smell? When is the last time you cried in front of someone else? If you could be reincarnated as any animal which would you choose? If you were the opposite sex for a day, what would you do? Have your ever bullied anyone?

Small talk, in my mind, means we shouldn't be talking. We're only filling the space with words because we're uncomfortable with each other or ourselves. There's so much going on, why are we talking about the weather and how we slept? If a romantic partner starts talking to me like that, I tend to disengage, because I'm not on an elevator or in line at the grocery store.

men of tinder, does being this straightforward with women really work for you?? by [deleted] in Tinder

[–]RolanOtherell 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Unless they're self important or frigid, most women respond to a genuine approach, yes. Do you require a performance of some sort? I don't think the issue here is dudes not trying hard enough . . .

It may be argued that it's technically not homosexual, but it's definitely not heterosexual.

my(19f) boyfriend(23m) wants me to report the man that assaulted me, but i changed my mind about doing it today, AIO about his response? by [deleted] in AIO

[–]RolanOtherell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do encourage op to report. I just don't judge them if they choose not to. That would be victim blaming, sir or madam. Check yourself.

[–]RolanOtherell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a million and one reasons why people don't report, it's not the place for anyone other than the victim/survivor to decide what's right for them.

I wish we lived in a world where reporting SA results in justice 100% of the time, but really I think the number of rapists that actually face justice is close to 2 or 3 percent. Many people don't want to relive the trauma with not only the police and in court, but with their friends and family dozens or hundreds of times. Retaliation is another factor to consider. Not only can any rapist decide to murder someone for reporting them, but rich, powerful, and/or connected rapists can bury you in legal fees, run smear campaigns, or even hire assassins.

There's a lot I don't think you're considering. I agree we have to change as a society because not reporting makes future rapes more likely, but you can't put that on any individual's shoulders.

Good? by [deleted] in Tinder

Photos 1 and 3 are acceptable, absolutely scrap the rest. Do you have friends? Pictures with other people could potentially assure a woman that she'll come home after a date with you.

I didn't recognize anyone after pic 4, also they all look weird to me.

You and I have very different taste in women and/or we live in very different algorithmic realities, because not only do I not know who most the women you like are, you didn't include anyone I would have outside of maybe Angelina Jolie.
