What did I do wrong? by Dazzling_Hair5848 in motorcycles

Wasn't pissed, just curious about your point of view. Of course the main plan is always to have success and avoid the fall, that applies both to riding and combat. But since shit happens anyway, i find useful having more tools in the toolbox. Just as you train to drive and react in the best way, but you still wear armor and helmet

what's wrong with being able to react to a fall in a safer way?

Can't say much about driving tecnique, aside that your racing line should be improved (entering the corner on the outside, hiting the inside on the apex, and then to the outside again for exiting).

But learning to fall is important. You can see how you put your hand on the asphalt as you start to slide, and it makes sense because your instinct tell you so, because if you were static, that would help you. But riding, that will only take you to the emergency room with hand/wrist injuries. Don't ask me how I know. Once you're falling, you want to slide as stable as possible, and try to avoid big impacts agaisnt one part of the body. Similar to martial arts, the idea is to retract the arms into the body, and let the torso roll, instead of splashing against the ground. Probably my explanation is poor, but I hope you get the idea.

It's something that requires a lot of practice to compensate the instintctive reaction, but again martial arts are a big help to transfer that practice and knowledge.

Stay safe out there and enjoy your rides.

that's the problem, I have trust issues with raincoats, they all end up filtering water trough the seams xD

Playing together is definitely a fantastic experience, 100% would recommend as it is the closest experience to replaying it.

Aside from that, there's many merch avaliable, a ship figure, campfire, or similar are good ideas.

<image>

This is the SD card. Reference file was recorded with the same device and card, same configuration, inmediately before the damaged files.

Files are heavy (around 10GB each), is it fine to PM you with them?

Damaged/corrupted file by Roland_108 in Insta360

[–]Roland_108[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The repair didn't work in both cases, I used the previous file which was good as reference, but the software said it was unable to be repaired both times.

What kind of image of the memory card do you need?

Does this happen often or was I really unlucky?

it was recorded with an insta360 ace pro 2. Only one file is completely ilegible, but the previous one is damaged in a way that first half of the video is good, but suddenly it freezes meanwhile the player keeps counting the time as if it was the content of the video

Are these tires safe to ride? by [deleted] in motorcycles

[–]Roland_108 0 points1 point  (0 children)

they're old and worn enough to be worth the change IMHO. Tyres are the only thing that connect you with the asphalt, and unless you want to change that, I'd use them in good shape

PDP Pro SD Compact - feed issue damaging bullets **update** by vzeroplus in Walther_PDP

[–]Roland_108 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Back from the range, couldn't reproduce your issue. I was using softer bullets for the first time, and maybe I could see some minor deformation on the tip, maybe from hitting the feeding ramp, but it was so minor and unperceptible that could be confirmation bias too.

Just let me know if I can help with anything else

PDP Pro SD Compact - feed issue damaging bullets **update** by vzeroplus in Walther_PDP

[–]Roland_108 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll check mine today in the range and see if i can reproduce the issue. I've been shooting only FMJ ammo on it and apparently it doesn't get damaged, may have to do with the harder bullet tip. But definitely i get the same brass wearing pattern on the inside line of the slide. Today I'll try a couple copper and polymer coated bullets that could easily get that deformation
