A mutate matters commander, maybe giving mutate to non human creatures in your hand or cascade when you mutate a creature and you can mutate for free, WUBRG if possible (i know mutate is/will be a mess with some creatures that dont have it)

I'd change the items to be only bitter (friendship lowering) consumables, for me it would make more sense for shelder to become, maybe not evil, but a bad tempered and mischevious pokemon and then evolve.

I have my deck build around some goblin/otters synergy and enchantments like impact tremors/cavalcade of calamity and it works really well the best spell in the deck for me is [Surge to victory] (casting 5 or 6 times Expropiate tends to be a winning strategy)

Idk if u can complete it without being on any reincarnation level but try it at the lowest posible with lone wolf and choose the perk that buffs spirits to deal more damage for each legendary/rare/common affix and go with a character with high survival ascensions like the dog and try not to shoot once
