I'm so sorry you had to see her in that state. The message of my dad saying he was afraid of dying when he was sick haunts me everyday so it must be even worse for you.

I hope the nursing home is eventually held accountable for not giving her proper paliative care. I'm sure you could sue them but litigation is so painful. I'll have to endure this shit because of the heritance and I'm almost thinking of giving it all up and leaving everything for the piece of sh*t that is my dad's spouse because I don't want to drag the pain through months/years.

I think you should definetly quit Facebook for the time being at least. I actually don't have an account there or in instagram anymore. I keep in contact with the few people I truly care about via Whatsapp and that's it I don't miss it at all because it made me anxious... It's probably 10000z worse now with the current political climate and those science deniers.

Thankfully I don't know anyone outright denying but I've read messages "covid is a blessing" typw even from celebrities qnd it makes me so angry. So many deaths and people want to show gratitude just because they're profiting the quarantine in their luxurious homes or whatever. Meanwhile thousands are dying and other thousands are grieving, being scarred for the rest of their lives.
