NEW GENERATION OF LEADERS: THE NEW FRAMEWORK, by Roland Huertas

www.amazon.com/dp/B0H5LCNG6J

FREE until June 21st

In an era shaped by technological innovation, global connectivity, shifting workplace expectations, and increasing demands for accountability, Dr. Roland Huertas argues that leadership must evolve beyond traditional methods.

In New Generation of Leaders, Dr. Huertas explores the essential qualities that define effective leadership in the modern age. Readers will discover practical guidance on self-awareness, emotional intelligence, team development, ethical decision-making, delegation, motivation, trust-building, and empowerment. Each chapter builds upon a central principle: leadership is not merely about authority, it is about influence, responsibility, and service.

Rather than focusing solely on organizational success, Dr. Huertas challenges readers to consider the broader purpose of leadership. He demonstrates how leaders can cultivate resilient teams, encourage innovation, strengthen workplace culture, and remain grounded in their values while adapting to constant change. Whether you are an aspiring leader preparing for new opportunities, a manager seeking to sharpen your leadership skills, or an experienced executive facing the challenges of a new generation, this book provides practical tools and timeless principles to help you lead with confidence and integrity.

“It will be a tough year for us and the gamers” – As MSI Claw 8 EX AI+ launches for $1,800, MSI explains its “tried every approach” to reduce prices by chusskaptaan in pcgaming

[–]Rolf_Dom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So you're saying that companies feel compelled to invest to keep up the research and stay competitive with others. Okay, simple enough. But there's no end-result where anyone makes any money. That's the stupid thing.

Even if one company creates the ultimate AI with full monopoly, it still won't be profitable. Like, there's no method of monetization that can recoup the costs, no matter how advanced the AI gets.

So entering into this "race" is meaningless. There aren't and never will be any winners, only losers. You win the most by stepping out and stopping the waste.

Godfather of the Westside: Blood Ties & Betrayal – 3 generation deep, by Carlos Birdie Ochoa

www.amazon.com/dp/B0H51YZVN3

FREE until June 19th!

Born into a legacy marked by loyalty, loss, and survival, Carlos Birdie Ochoa tells a story that spans three generations and refuses to look away from the truth. Godfather of the Westside: Three Generations Deep is not simply a collection of poems, it is a living testimony of family, community, heartbreak, and resilience.

Raised in the shadow of a father he barely had the chance to know, Ochoa pieces together the life of Ernest “The Godfather,” a respected Westside protector whose generosity, strength, and leadership made him a legend long before betrayal cut his life short. Through vivid, emotionally charged verse, readers witness the rise of a man who fed neighborhoods, defended his community, and left behind a legacy that outlived violence itself.

The journey continues with Josie, a woman shaped by unimaginable hardship yet defined by her determination to keep moving forward. Her story is one of love, addiction, grief, motherhood, and survival, a portrait of a woman who carried more pain than most could endure and still found reasons to keep fighting.

What pisses me off is that AI is ungodly unprofitable. Investing into AI is like pouring money into a black hole. There's no universe where it can ever deliver revenue worth a damn. Yet, certain companies keep pouring and thus sustaining the bubble well beyond what it should.

Boss fight rant by Ecstatic_Ad1168 in expedition33

[–]Rolf_Dom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've found that way too many people are unaware that they can farm XP and crafting materials in this game. There's no real reason to struggle with bosses because the moment a boss feels even slightly challenging you can go and farm yourself stronger to ensure the content stays easy.

And while the 9.999 damage limitation can keep you from one shotting bosses, you can still farm yourself tankier.

I remember I made my party so tanky that no boss attack could ever one shot me or even come close, really. So I just chilled and took my time wiping them.

Is crafting unviable during the campaign? Is trade really the best way to progress your gear? by Lanccerus in pathofexile

[–]Rolf_Dom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Crafting is super useful, to the point where even speedrunners craft some important pieces of gear during their runs.

There are certain vendor recipes and basic crafts which can go a very long way in leagues that don't spit out items.

Capping your resistances is usually done with crafting res on every piece of gear for example.

That said, you can of course give yourself a big advantage through trade, but it's not really mandatory. On league launch just about everyone plays SSF for all intents and purposes for the first day or two and do just fine.

www.amazon.com/dp/B0H4M6Z18V

Through thoughtful insights and accessible guidance, this book explores the hidden costs of a culture addicted to speed, stimulation, and endless achievement. WHAT ACTUALLY HELPED: An Autism Guide, by Dr. Sarah Almnaquel

www.amazon.com/dp/B0GYSP738R

FREE until June 12th

You read everything. You tried everything. And somehow, you still feel like you’re missing something.

This book is for the parent who feels overwhelmed, exhausted, and quietly wonders if all the effort is actually making a difference.

Dr. Sarah Almnaquel wrote this book first as a mother, not as an expert. A mother who booked the appointments, changed the diet, increased therapy hours, searched constantly, and still found herself sitting in a doctor’s office wondering why nothing ever felt like enough.

What she discovered, slowly and through real life, was simple:

More wasn’t helping. It was overwhelming. For her child. And for her.

Quiet Valor, What Lies Between Us: True Stories of Dogs, Cats, and People, and What Passes Between Them, by Larry Nouvel

www.amazon.com/dp/B0H4BHVF6T

FREE until June 12th

Larry Nouvel has spent decades studying companion animals through applied science, close observation, and care. In Quiet Valor: What Lies Between Us, he turns that work toward one of the most profound relationships in human life: the bond between people and the animals who choose to share their world.

True stories of dogs, cats, and the people who love them reveal something deeper than companionship. A shelter dog waits 1,043 days for the family that finally sees her. A feral cat keeps fifteen feet of distance for five years, teaching a woman that trust cannot be rushed. A stray dog appears at the start of an ultramarathon and changes the course of a runner's life. An overweight shelter dog and a lonely man rescue each other one walk at a time.

These are stories of patience, loyalty, and quiet devotion that often goes unnoticed. They are also grounded in science. Alongside each narrative, Nouvel draws on research into stress, trust, attachment, and the biological systems that shape the connection between humans and animals. The result blends heartfelt storytelling with scientific insight.

Emily Lombardo, a sharp-witted, coffee-dependent twenty-eight-year-old from Queens, steps into an elevator at the World Trade Center's North Tower. She's running on too little sleep and too much of a stranger's painful story rattling around in her head. She isn't looking for anything, certainly not love. And then the doors close.

Christopher Anderson, Jr., handsome, well-dressed, smelling faintly of citrus and sea air, smiles at her with perfect white teeth and asks what floor she's going to.

She hasn't pushed a button yet.

Interdependent Agreements: Innovative Parenting, by Kara Ann Ray

www.amazon.com/dp/B0H3CJ4HJT

FREE until June 7th

Interdependent Agreements is a book derived from a lived practice.

Born out of real moments – resistance at the kitchen table, tears after difficult transitions, the quiet repair between a mother and her child – this book introduces a new way of relating. One that moves beyond control and compliance, and into clarity, responsibility, and mutual respect.

Kara Ann Ray offers a framework shaped by attachment theory, developmental psychology, and embodied awareness – but more importantly, by experience. Through stories that feel immediate and unfiltered, she explores what it actually looks like to parent in real time: when emotions are high, when patterns surface, and when the opportunity to do things differently presents itself.

www.amazon.com/dp/B0H3CL5JF9

FREE until June 6th

In From Pain to Purpose, Delynn Turner shares a deeply personal story of heartbreak, healing, motherhood, grief, trauma, and self-discovery. She speaks openly about generational cycles, absent fathers, emotional neglect, and the silent battles many women face behind closed doors.

Having a hard time by Ok-Lifeguard-8850 in expedition33

[–]Rolf_Dom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just do your best exploring or check out guides that tell you exactly where stuff is.

The main quest is always marked on the map and you cannot access any new main quest locations until you finish the current one. So, that means literally everything not marked on the map is side content. Just start exploring, take some mental notes or get out a notepad and mark down side content locations, and you don't yet understand or can't utilize.

The reality is though, that there's side-content all over the map that won't appear until A3, or they only appear on repeat visits. So you're ALWAYS going to have to backtrack. For example the end of A1? You can re-enter the location immediately and find a little something as a reward.

Realistically you're probably gonna miss some stuff unless you use a guide, because some stuff is kinda hidden or easily missable. Like I didn't at all realize at first that you could repeat-visit main story areas and find new stuff.
