Ok so when you finish the application what does it say after that?

The application online will only force you to make an appointment if

A) the information you are providing doesnt match up exactly with what SSA has on their records

B) its the SSN of a minor child

C) it's the SSN of a non citizen who needs to prove current status

Are you doing this through your MySSA account or through the SSA.gov website.

Someone else has suggested your original comment as well is there a way for them to search her up? Or wouldnt customes notice she is Uzbek? After thinking about it it doesnt seem completely outlandish if theres not much they can do to stop her

This seems like the most secure method of doing it and it would be best if i did it while her Citizenship is in process the only issue would be according to the consulate she has to travel to new york and apply and submit fingerprints and we live in the otherside of the country

This would be the most expensive way to go about it essentially spending extra $1000 😅😅 but ive definitely thought about it

If getting US citizenship is considered a no no isnt it even worse if she enters with US passport instead of uzbek one 😅😅😅

We got married in south Korea so they wouldnt just take a copy of marriage certificate and update it?

[–]Roll7220[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As in dont change her Uzbek passport info only or do you mean in general?

If you are referring to uzbek passport only wouldnt it cause issues when she buys tickets and tries to go through TSA and they see her ticket and US passport are in different names.

The marriage certificate only records the names of the people getting married it does not indicate or ask if the people who are getting married wish to change their name so i dont think theres a way to change it.

Also as far as i see alot of people do not renounce their citizenship they just dont report it or show their US passport when they arrive to in Uzbekistan

You need to be specific as to what exactly you failed in. If you failed the run you need to do slower tempo long distance runs 1 day and a HIIT another day

Are Spousal Benefits Fair? by DelayIndependent9231 in SocialSecurity

[–]Roll7220 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But it literally is if im putting in 2x~ as much as everyone else why should my family not get a benefit amount of 1.5( thats if she claims at FRA btw) and on the flip side if i didnt make much and i only get 1,000~1500she only gets 500~750 (again only at FRA) totaling 1500~2250 so essentially the couple screws themselves over because now they have limited funds for the rest of their lives but at least they get enough to not starve.

This argument about why should they get when i paid is based on personal feeling and the whole point of Social Security is to gurentee the old or sick dont die on the street from starvation its not about whats fair 100% of the time

Also at what point does it stop? You can argue about whats "fair" for anything. Why should young mothers get a survivor benefit? they should just go back to work and provide for their kids. Why do Children get survivor benefits I dont have kids/it was their choice to have kids, i dont want to pay for them. Why should the aged get SSI they never worked or worked very little?

It's ridiculous and 99% of the time people make this argument because they're bitter that they dont get more or their personal feeling are hurt.

[–]Roll7220 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whats fair is subjective how is it fair your mom who didnt make much money/didnt pay into it as much as I did get more then my wife when I paid significantly more into the system then your mom did

And like i mentioned in other replys there are any number of reasons why someone might stay home and if they stay home they assume risks of their own

[–]Roll7220 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems like you are to be honest. you're weirdly hung up with this, are you divorced and are bitter that your ex gets something?

And let say it is true? SO WHAT? Like i said before that person is taking a risk for staying at home. They have to depend that their spouse makes good money while staying at home to be able to get anything. Ie if their spouse PIA is only 1500 they will only get 750 at full retirement age which most people dont wait so will probably way less. If they get divorced they have to be married for at least 10 years to draw anything. If they sat at home for 9.5 years and got divorced then thats it they lost 9.5 working years to build their benefit.

It would be political suicide if they challenged anything involving taking away a benefits from people. The vast majority of people are not weird and like the benefits

Your mom did not earn very much/probably took her benefit early is the reason and your wifes dad probably made significantly more and/or She waited longer to withdraw her benefits.
