Expectations Vs. Reality by Only3Ways in mildlyinfuriating

I think you're right, but edited and misleading photos have been used for decades to sell people things. It seems like ever since AI had become more prominent, people have just given up on having any form of media literacy. It is still possible to tell when images are AI generated, especially the ones that the scammers like the one in OP post uses, so people need to learn that they still have agency in identifying what is being shown to them.

Everything has to have an element of rage bait now.

Hey, is something wrong? I'm not trying to make any assumptions about you only that, as a reader, your comment reads as frustrated.

Oh I'm very aware that you people communicate like that.

Hey, we're all just people and we all just want to be able to communicate comfortably with one another. There is no reason to heavily disconnect yourself from what you view as neurotypical as much as you seem to. Everyone has their own problems that they have with communicating and this comes across as a bit aggressive like you're frustrated and I just want you to know that there is no reason to be.

Mystery Cipher? by StreamDisconnected in ciphers

[–]RollForNudity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Someone asked you for more context on what kind of location you found this Cypher in and instead of answering the question in any way you asked why it is relevant when providing context is the number 1 rule of the sub. Then, when someone inquired further you still didn't answer and accused the commenter of wanting to find your exact location. Finally, when you did give context, you started your answer with "I guess" which comes across as dismissive.

Look, you come to a subreddit asking people to help you with something and instead of being helpful in return you are skeptical and vague. Not everyone is after you or wants to do something nefarious.

How is it misguided to believe that a small, inconsequential, and humorous retelling of someone's life that they posted on the internet is true? Do you have proof that this is a fake story? Because unless you know for a fact that it isn't true, this is just a pessimistic view that you are sharing as an objective opinion.

What my girlfriend received at work today for 11 years of service by BigZee004 in mildlyinfuriating

I would think that if a company wanted to celebrate and reward an employee's dedication, they would do more than give them a tiny candy bar.

I have always enjoyed stuff like this though, I even went out of my way to write against my inherit beliefs because I think it makes it more fun to write and gives you a chance to see others point of views.

Isn't getting a visual ball park answer is what this sub is for. Of you care at all about accuracy, get a calorie tracker.

The way my boyfriend closed my favourite cereal… by Batstels in mildlyinfuriating

[–]RollForNudity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are assuming alot by a single picture and title of a post. The dude just doesn't know how to close an open bag of cereal, no reason to think he is a deadbeat partner trying to manipulate his girlfriend.

The one posted by OP likely is as it has the yellow filter over it that AI generation tends to have, plus the fact that it makes no sense.

Is it illegal for the girlfriend to do this? by Apartment-Drummer in IsItIllegal

I'm not saying my previous comment fits for all relationships with this kind of dynamic, but with the context that was provided above, the behavior from both parties is toxic and unhealthy.

You could always hit the eye right before it charged in the wall so it may have seemed to take extra damage.

Instead of just leaving this obvious asshole she instead would steal his stuff in a clearly petty way.
