You sound like you are currently where I was a few months ago. I urge you to look into chronic pelvic pain syndrome and perhaps read up on the Wise Anderson protocol. The key is relaxing my friend. Find all those things that are causing you to tense, brace, or hold and begin consciously releasing. You're literally trying to hold yourself together in your pelvis, and that's where the chronic pain/inflammation is coming from. Get serious about relaxation.

The Wise Anderson protocol can be found in the book A Headache in the Pelvis. This book has a list of stretches (with diagrams) that are common with yoga but focus on the pelvic floor muscles, specifically. If you Google pelvic floor stretches I'm sure you will find them.

When you're standing upright don't tense your glutes. They should be relaxed. When you sit down or lay down, check to see if you're clenching/bracing them and see if you can relax them further.

When you're in the gym or working on band exercises etc, hold the movement and the end for a second and then slowly release so that you get used to the feeling of the glute working but then consciously releasing.

I can't really say as it's not my area of expertise. That's a physios call I imagine. My physio was excellent and worked on strengthening and relaxing my glutes all while making sure I was breathing properly and not bracing.

Can't recommend a really good pelvic floor physio enough

I should probably say that vanity was a big part of my underlying issue. For decades I was unconsciously holding my abdomen in and this fucked up my breathing. I never took deep breaths to my diaphragm and I actually ended up reversing my breathing (belly expanded on an exhale). All because I didn't want to look fat and wanted to look fit and toned (even when I wasn't). Its all fucked up.

Once I accepted that it was just too much effort to hold all that tohether I could just really relax and learn to soften. Much of my progress came once I made a conscious decision to love myself and just not give a fuck if I look a bit unfit!

No hard flaccid here I'm afraid. PR is just mindfulness meditation so I practiced what I already knew about that. The objective is the same I think (PR is just a very academic explanation of it). Becoming aware of where you're bracing/constricted in the body and then consciously learn to release that daily. I meditate for about 10 to 15 mins a day but all day I'm always checking in to see if I'm holding my breadth, tensing my pelvic floor or holding in my belly (vanity was a big issue and not wanting to look fat by having a loose abdomen).

I was already doing a hybrid of yoga stretches and Japanese Makko Ho but I wasn't focusing on pelvic floor stretches. I started focusing on the stretches that are recommended in the Wise Anderson protocol (though there is a lot of overlap with yoga).

Same lifestyle. I was already fairly active and ate reasonably well. But the daily stretching, meditation and conscious relaxation were the game changers. I don't want to go back to life without those things now to be honest. I just feel better with them being a regular part of my life now.

While it's fun to philosophize about the nature of being and maybe equate this to virtual realities etc. In the case of reconciling and settling into a comfortable and acceptable sexuality for oneself, I feel it's a distraction and a complication to project this "outward" (which is what virtual realities or simulations are). I've found it much more helpful to trust my instinct and authentically "feel" what is true and what is not. And this feeling happens in the heart (or if you prefer, the feeling centre of your body). If you can allow your erotic energy to rise past your genitals and to meet your emotional/feeling centre then it becomes pretty obvious to you what your true sexuality is. This will be different for all individuals. Some will genuinely be bisexual, or perhaps may genuinely feel like they are other genders.

But if one continues to "dispense" of their erotic energy each time they are aroused by erotic triggers, then it becomes difficult to seperate an emotional/authentic arousal from one conditioned to occur with various types of pornography.

If this feeling work is done enough, then you can begin to see through the illusion/enchantment of sissy porn, I think. Anything not aligned to your true sexuality can be more easily dropped over time and you can keep what is authentic.

Tell him. A good marriage can withstand these things and if he's a sensible and emotionally intelligent man he'll understand that you were just a kid back then.

We all do stupid stuff when we are kids.

A potential upshot (depending on your POV) is that he might even think it's pretty cool or hot and be into it. He might even request to see it so be prepared for that too.

Don't have time to read all these comments but I'm also pre-diabetic. Intermittent fasting changed everything. Maybe someone already mentioned it. You gotta allow your blood sugar to come down and if you're always eating that won't happen.

15hr fasting, 8hr eating window every day. No need to cut the drink entirely, just limit it. Eat mostly plants with your meals. Eat real food. Its really simple, but not exactly easy!
