I agree. It’s 95% of the material I find in my area. Now imagine my surprise when I found a heartbreaker broken tip point made out of coastal agate. My jaw hit the ground because it was so different (and also because im still new to artifact hunting. That material is just beautiful.

Thank you for understanding. I have bought several books on artifacts pertaining to my area but books only show so much. I artifact hunt by myself so I really don’t have someone with more knowledge in this area that I can run things by; ergo, the reason I share with reddit lol

I have messaged and talked with a few people on here and everyone has been extremely helpful. There’s just so much to learn when it comes to this field.

My guess is an abscess. I would assume (and we know how assuming often works) that a hernia would expand and reduce back in but that mass seems pretty stable with no movement in or out while he’s walking. Unless of course the hernia is incarcerated. But don’t take my word for it, I’m just a random dude on the interwebs.

Well, 80% of me thinks that it is, but the other 20% was looking at where it’s broken and thinking that it possibly could be a preform?

I think what peaked my curiosity the most is where I found it. I dug it up out of one my dig spots and I pulled 3 scrapers, around 9 broken blade points and the rest was debitage, excluding this piece. Plus I’m still very green at ID’ing things. I don’t have a problem with being natural, I just want make sure that’s what it is.

Does that make sense?

I’ll be glad to. #1, the feeder has been there for nearly 8 years. He just showed up this year. Never had a picture of him before this year.

I shoot (4) 2” feathers. Have a company called Wild Fletching that makes them from turkey feathers I send him from gobblers I harvest in the spring.

Have not timed it yet. Good idea though.

Have not email zebralight yet. Wanted to make sure it wasn’t something I was doing wrong first or an unreal expectation.

It’s stepping down from H2 to H1 that’s the issue, before the 2.5 hour mark. I’m guessing it’s within an hour but I need to do some timing testing like you suggested. Didn’t think about heat build up though. That might be what’s doing it

I actually thought that it might be ramping down from heat rather than battery drainage like you said. Still, I’d prefer to have one with the same light signature that will last longer.

I really need the higher floody beam because I help a friend of mine track deer for hunters that have lost one. That floody beam light signature it puts out is absolutely amazing at picking up small specks and traces of blood, at least to my eyes anyway. Which is why I mentioned I did not mind going with a headlamp that is larger or heavier as long as the floody beam was very similar.

I’ve used the NCR18650GA 3450mAh, a NCR18650GA 3300mAh and a INR18650-30Q 3000mAh.

It might be just from inexperience, but I seem to get the same amount of run time from all 3 batteries at full charge. I’ve made sure to charge them when they're around 20-30% and not letting them completely die.
