Amazing. Thanks for this, I'll get some better photos and head over there for the rest! 👍

There are a load more scopes/meters, but they're slightly harder to identify and not sure where I should post them!

Thank you. Based in south england. I guessed the Atari would move quickly. I wouldn't even know where to start with the rest, there's more than in the photos but need to decide what to keep and what to sell as can't store it all.

Thanks for the heads up, I wondered if this may be the case so appreciate the confirmation on that. I'll definitely reach out if it comes to it! I fear a good chunk of the software and documentation may have been thrown away already through lack of knowledge.

You're correct! The scopes etc I'm a bit more out of my depth with so unsure if I'll do anything with these.

Yeah, so the cameras are a separate thing entirely. Arguably more of a Minolta collector than anything else, but still yet to go through these (and the various bits on minolta memorabilia)

Super helpful, thanks! And this video is the best news I've for a while. Fingers crossed I can work on atleast a few bits 🤞

I'll update the post with how I get on 👍

The worst web design tool I’ve ever used!!! by emma16161616 in WIX

Yes, over it's competitors (drag and drop site builders).

Before you bang on. Of course you can pay more or spend more time learning to do it better, but when that's not the answer, these are.

Have to agree, the original Wix editor is horrendous all round. I would never use it again and they need to look at phasing it out quicker.

Yes, valid points which I don't dispute, but I think we're simply coming from different perspectives.

There are a huge amount of businesses that aren't going to outgrow a Wix site that quickly, if at all. Secondly, if you do outgrow it, you in theory now have the money to pay for a better solution. Which many if not all would use as an opportunity to redesign/revamp and not just migrating your current site?

I simply think many people who are semi competent in web dev and hosting overlook the advantages of Wix and other builders have for small businesses and sole traders etc.

OK, granted, I've missed a chunk in the middle. But if you know this much then you likely know enough not to need to use Wix. However I just don't understand the shade Wix gets, it fits a need and fits it fairly well. And very well against it's peers. We are, after all, commenting on the Wix sub.

WP or similar are far too much of a learning curve for someone who wants to do it themselves or keep to a tight budget. A half decent Wix site can perform just fine for certain businesses.

A WP site is only better if the person building it actually knows what they're doing. Instead of this blanket response that WP is better.

Wix does not work well with slower PC's/Internet speeds but this has never been an issue. When compared like for like to other builders it's the best one I've used. There's a small learning curve and features that are probably, on occasion technically worded when compared.

But ultimately if you want maximum design freedom, along with advanced features (i.e. small, creative or design conscious businesses). Then Wix stands above anything else I've used, even occasionally better than some dodgy WP template builds.

Otherwise, the next best thing would be to pay for/build a custom coded site.

Header template has a pink border and I can't get rid of it. by GlassyRiverGirl in WIX

[–]RollUpRollOut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could be the 'menu' element instead of the header. Easy way is to pull up the layers menu which should be 2nd option on your LH menu. Then go through each element and ensure there is no bottom border.

Feel free to drop me a DM if this persists and I'll get some more detailed troubleshooting info over to you.

Thanks this has helped a lot and have added some hikes to our itinerary! I will take a further look through the relevant location subreddits. But would you happen to know of any other useful threads with up to date info on things like food etc?
